It’s with an absolutely shattered heart I share that my baby Checkers unexpectedly passed on, on Thursday morning 8.8.24.

If you know me (& Checkers) well, you know he was special and not just in a he’s my dog type of special but actually one in a million medical mystery special. He had some congenital disabilities that no vet could seem to figure out and didn’t expect him to make it past a year.

He defied all odds & lived an amazing 4 years. In those 4 years, from the day he was born, he was my entire life (along with my other dogs obvi & the 14 puppies I raised after him). He taught me sacrifice, responsibility , the meaning of unconditional love & that you can take a dog in a wagon pretty much anywhere lol. There truly wasn’t anything I wouldn’t do for him or without him lol iykyk.

He was my baby & I would do it all over again if I could. The pain in my heart and body is unbearable rn but I know our souls will find each other in every lifetime & I’ll get to snuggle & cuddle & smother your cute nose with kisses again.

I know you’re free & happy & with cc. I can feel it. We just miss you earth side, so much.
