Some journeys change the places you visit.
Others change who you become.

51,500 km.
16 countries.
One Ferrari. Endless memories.

From Montevideo to Deadhorse, this wasn’t just a drive across the Americas. It was a journey through deserts, mountains, jungles, salt flats, snow, unforgettable people and countless challenges.

Thank you to everyone who followed, encouraged and supported me along the way. You made this adventure even more special.

But this is not the end.

The next chapter begins soon.

Deadhorse → Ushuaia

Attempting to break the current Panamericana world record.

See you on the road.

Not every challenge is decided by speed. Sometimes, it’s decided by circumstances beyond your control.

For more than four days, everything was going according to plan. We had built a solid lead over the current Panamericana world record and were right on schedule.

Then, last night, everything changed.

A collapsed tunnel on the road to Guatemala made our planned route impossible. Instead of continuing south, we were forced into a detour of more than 600 kilometers via Puebla, costing us several crucial hours.

As if that wasn’t enough, Sammy started showing suspension and chassis warning messages again. Thankfully, this happened only about 200 kilometers from a Ferrari dealership—not somewhere deep in Central or South America, where help could have been thousands of kilometers away.

After discussing every possible option, we made the responsible decision to stop the world record attempt.

I’m disappointed, of course. But I’m also grateful.

Grateful that the problem appeared where it could be checked properly. Grateful for an incredible team. And grateful for everyone who has followed, encouraged and supported us over the past days.

A world record is important.

But bringing the car—and everyone involved—safely to the finish is even more important.

This isn’t the ending. Just another chapter.

Maybe some detours have a purpose we can’t see yet. Thank you for being part of this journey.

❤️🌎🏁

Guatemala feels like another world sometimes.

Volcanos, cobblestone streets, old colonial walls and a Ferrari Purosangue thousands of kilometers away from where it was ever expected to be.

Sammy keeps going north.

90,000KM (56,000MI) on a Ferrari Purosangue via multiple attempts to set the record for the Pan-American highway traverse, from northern Alaska to southern Argentina

I’ll let the car speak for itself, thank you to Em Jay @sammyautotester and crew for letting me document the car during its brief visit to Seattle (yes, those are real German plates!)

And for you spec nerds, this is in fact not the standard “Nero Purosangue” black paint!
Exterior - Marrone Mica
Interior - Cuoio

A man named EmJay has taken a Ferrari Purosangue far beyond where most owners would ever consider driving one.

His goal was to travel the length of the Americas, taking the V12 Ferrari from South America all the way to Alaska. According to EmJay, he’s now attempted the journey three times, putting roughly 80,000 kilometers on the Purosangue in the process. His dog Rico joins him for the journey.

The first attempt ended after an accident, where EmJay brought the car to Ferrari in Santiago de Chile for repairs. On his second try, EmJay and Rico made it all the way to Alaska. For the third, he reversed course with an even bigger goal: attempting to set a record from Alaska to Argentina, before a major road closure forced the run to end just two days in.

Through dirt, snow and thousands of miles of pavement, the Purosangue has effectively become a long-distance expedition car, with Rico riding alongside him through it all.

And with another record attempt planned, 80,000 kilometers may only be the beginning.

Meet @sammyautotester the man driving his Ferrari Purosangue from the bottom of South America to the top of Dead Horse, Alaska.

What most people don’t realise is he’s done the drive three times! Unfortunately, the first time he was involved in an accident, the car had to be shipped back to Brazil to be repaired. The second attempt he made it all the way to Alaska! And the third attempt was to beat the record from Alaska to Argentina in the fastest time possible unfortunately due to a huge road closure they attempt was called off 2 days in. He will try again soon! 80,000 km and counting! Safe travels Em Jay & Rico! (His dog) ♥️ Full interview on @Magnacars YT channel! by @sammyautotester
