My big boy 🩵
It’s been a big start to the year for our boy, responsibilities at school, at home being the eldest, navigating loss and grief in this season and last night he chose to be baptised😭

Partnering with God in your parenting is not always easy. One of our functions is to get things done, to direct, to make choices for them. But when it comes to knowing God, it’s something we cannot control for them. God never forces our love, he lets us choose. And we have to let our kids choose to follow him, you can’t force, coerce or manipulate them to follow Jesus. So we believed, prayed and trusted God to lead our boy to his own decision —and sometimes it’s alot of hold your breath moments lol
But we did not labour in vain! for no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws them!
And our boy knew despite being nervous, that he was being drawn to embrace Jesus closer 🥹
The joy in my heart when he said “I’m ready for this mum”😭

After saying he wouldn’t speak, during the break between services he took my phone and said “I want to write down what I’m going to share so I don’t forget” 🥹 and even though I wanted to write it for him😅😆 we encouraged him to share from his own words. And so he got up (in his monotone serious captain voice and demeanour that is so Henare😆🥹) and we are so proud 😭
Shout out to his mate Alani for her bold testimony! 😭🙌🏽 Henare asked his dad to stand with him when he shared and then at the last second told him to stay on the seat 😂
When we got home he said, “I saw Alani stand by herself and I thought maybe I could try and be confident too”😭 ugh! The power of community and testimony! Never underestimate young people!

So proud of our boy! He was 2 when we gave our life to Christ and we were very much works in progress for a lot of years, so to see our son choose Jesus regardless 😭 it’s a mercy and goodness we are so undeserving of😭💯

So grateful for his people, our home @revelationswesternsydney and @rcmsydcampus for discipling and loving him alongside us❤️‍🔥
& for his family and our friends for showing up and showing out for him with love and blessings😭❤️

I was always content with being in the background (being a part of the background crew, doing the works in the unseen) because it was a place I got to allow God to work on me, on things that I couldn’t do on my own, things that I couldn’t change, things that I couldn’t let go of and even things that I didn’t know of that was in my heart.
But God put a light in me, exposed areas of my life that I needed to surrender, broke generational burdens, broke strongholds, broke old habits and gave me vision and purpose!
There is a purpose of that light in you🙌🏽
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ says
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

It’s the best installing a sparkling machine before everyone gets in to the office. I get to pray into the will of God for my life and that I would continue to seek and love the Lord my God with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my mind and all my strength all the days of my life 🙌🏽 and that I would love others as I love myself.
And I can only truely do that by surrendering❤️

I love you so much babe. Everything in our life at the moment is the farthest thing from perfect and this season has had some low lows and then some, but evenso I will always love this life with you. What He done, what He’s doing and everything He’s about to do — what an honour to navigate the chaos and growing pains of building a life with you in Christ! 🫶🏾
I thank God for you! You bring joy and laughter like no one else can. You have this beautiful ability to gather people and shift a hard and cold atmosphere to one of warmth, belonging and faith. You are slow to speak and anger and quick to forgive. You lead our family with courage, compassion and character. Watching you love and serve your family, friends and community so deeply and genuinely, makes me immensely proud to be your wife.
Thank you babe!
For believing for beyond when I can’t see in front of me.
For praying and covering when my heart isn’t in it.
For loving me on days I am hard to love.
For reminding me of Gods word when I’ve let myself forget.

Starting 2025 with the best part of our 2024!

It’s been over a month since our little lady came into our lives. We may be tired lol but we are completely besotted and captivated by our girl 🥹💖 especially her big brothers!
Sometimes I still can’t believe we have a daughter 🥲🥺 God really knew what He was doing though🫶🏽

Year 6.
What a wild ride 😅
And as crazy as it has been.. one thing that has been proven over and over again and remained true, the one thing I’m completely convinced of, is that God alone is absolutely and undeniably good… no matter what!
No matter the cloudiness of the season or the hard reality that comes, regardless of our flesh or our failures. He is present in every season, & He continues His work and uses everything to build us and refine us.
So here we are staying the course and trusting God — through the hard, in the middle, in the silence.. because we know He never fails.
If I could sum up what year 6 was for us I would say it’s been a year of surrender and humility. and may it continue to be that and more as we grow in Christ together.

Thank you for building this life with me babe. Thank you for everything you do for me and our family, for the sacrifices I see and the ones that I don’t that you’ve carried.
I love you so much and each year God gives us, I see more of Him revealed within you & who you’re becoming as a husband and father.

Til His kingdom come, & His will is done
