This year I went to 4 different countries. Wrote 120(ish) songs. Got my first NFL sync. Wrote 40,000 words in an (already too long) novel. Fell in love with life again. With music. With my friends.

It wasn’t an easy one. But oh, I am so excited for the next. Happy 2026 ☀️ by @sammyhakim

🌸 Lesotho and South Africa 🌼 in 10 key takeaways:

1). Encountered a Lion whilst on foot (yes, it was horrifying, yes it was a movie moment, no it is not pictured )
2). Donkey Pub-Crawl in SemonKong 🫏
3). Sunsets and cattle in my cousins village 🥹
4). Fell knee deep in a mud puddle and still got the Sesotho nickname Palesa (beautiful flower 🌼) 💅
5). Met some Penguin friends (except not friends cause they bite 😞)✅
6). Learned South African KFC is not a joke 🙌
7). Made cousins for life on walking Safari with Mpile and Nondo 🥹
8). Peri Peri Chicken. Enough Said.
9). So many memories for a lifetime with my brother & cousin (and cousin-in-law when he pays the lòbola 😉)
10). Remembered life is about who you spend it with not what you have, or what you don’t. My life is changed forever and I couldn’t be more grateful to the journey or the people we met along the way. 🫶 taken in South Africa by @sammyhakim
