Recording doubles for Summer Rain at 3am in Sydney. This song has been a series of new things for us, first full kit live drums on a studio recording in yeeeeeeears, all of us singing, getting to pull one of my own photos for the cover. The last year or two have also been a time of change, and kinda like this song says, positive energy comes and goes with the turn of the wind. Right now it feels like it’s blowing strongly at our backs. I love music and I love getting to do it with my friends. The first whistles just blown and I know those halftime oranges are gonna taste sweet 🍊 taken in Sydney, Australia by @sammytisme

It’s been so interesting to be part of the creation of our new song D A D A that reflects on the new experience of fatherhood through the eyes of some of my closest friends, and it’s beautiful to watch them on their journeys. Lots of people say that parenthood changes your whole perspective on life, and it’s kind of funny that we only ever know our parents once they’re a fair way down that road.

Not being a dad myself, it’s been nice to think about my own dad, and I stumbled across this old footage of @blair_thomson63 and I jamming some SRV on a couple bits of 2x4. I’m so thankful for all of the music, wisdom and love he’s handed on to me throughout life, I wouldn’t be the same without it. Happy Father’s Day by @sammytisme
