It’s finally done! The #hearthsidecardigan from @wool.and.pine.designs , made all with scraps from previous projects. Totally my color vibe. Almost all brioche. Absolute squishy and lovely. AND finished just in time to wear to @dfwfiberfest today. AND AND knocked two more things off my bingo card. Score! by @samoser2

Thank you to whoever sent these lamination pouches! Amazon once again did not send any note!
These will be perfect for laminating the new anchor charts for my AP class.

If you’d like to help, here’s my link. I work off of this to make purchases for my classroom, so everything that is on there is something specifically for my students or for organization of the classroom. The personal care items are items individually packaged for students to take as needed.

Thank you to whoever sent the items from my classroom wishlist. Unfortunately Amazon didn’t put any sort of info on who sent this, so I can’t thank you properly. I truly appreciate your donation!

Thank you so much, Laura and Allen! Yall are always so supportive, and I am proud to be a part of the family. This will all go to good use!

If you’d like to help our classroom out, too, please see the link below. I work off this list, so most items will be purchased by me before the start of the school year in two weeks. Any and all help is VERY appreciated!

Thank you so much, Ayse Hamzehloo! These incentive cards are a new addition to my class and I’m excited to try them out.

If you’d like to help support my classroom, especially as I transition to teaching AP US history (in addition to dual credit), any help is appreciated.

The list is my running list of items I need to get, so I am constantly adding to it and making purchases from it myself.

I keep a personal needs area in my room for students, snacks, as well as supplies for students to freely use. My goal is to always remove as many obstacles and excuses to learning. It’s hard to concentrate and learn if you’re worried about something, hungry, or don’t have the required supplies!

It’s the end of year 19 in my teaching journey, but the end of year 10 at WHS. Ten years at Waller High School. That’s hard to wrap my head around.

This year marks the end of an era in more ways than one. After 4 years, I’m saying goodbye to room 2711 — my home away from home. So many memories were made within those walls: lessons taught, laughs shared, stressful days survived, and countless moments that reminded me why I love what I do. Even though I’m not leaving Waller, it’s still bittersweet closing the door to a classroom that meant so much to me.

Next year brings a new challenge and a new chapter as I transition from on-level U.S. History into AP U.S. History, alongside my dual credit classes. Excited, nervous, grateful — all of the above.

And while this school year was full of changes for me, it was also incredible watching my niece absolutely thrive during her first year of high school. Honor Roll all year, inducted into the International Thespian Society, cast in next year’s production, and somehow balancing FIVE STAAR EOCs at once. The biggest surprise? Masters on Algebra! (The U.S. History Masters score was never in doubt.) Watching her grow into such a hardworking, driven, talented young woman has been one of the greatest privileges. We celebrated in the best way - a trip to the bookstore.  Fitting!

Now it’s finally time for summer — time to rest, recharge, reset, and soak in a slower pace for a little while. This year was a busy one, but a meaningful one. Here’s to new beginnings, closed chapters, and fully recharging ALL of our batteries before August rolls back around. taken in Hockley, Texas by @samoser2

💜May 15, 2026 was one for the books for the Mosers. 💜

Today, we celebrated Michael graduating from Arizona State University with his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Counseling. Eight years of hard work, long days, sacrifices, balancing work and school, and refusing to give up — all leading to this moment. Watching him chip away at this goal year after year has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and I could not be more proud of the man he is and the future he’s building. Next stop: Master’s degree this fall.

Also, our niece, Abby was inducted into the International Thespian Society. While we couldn’t be there, we’re so happy she had so many there to support her as she walked across the stage. Watching her thrive, discover her passion, excel academically, and truly come into her own has been incredible. She has worked so hard, and we are beyond proud of the young woman she’s becoming.

And finally, our sweet Wally graduated from preschool. This little boy has filled our lives with so much joy, laughter, and love. He is smart, goofy, resilient, and so deeply cherished. I am so excited to see where his future takes him.

My heart is very full this weekend. So proud of all three of them and so grateful for the beautiful chaos, hard work, healing, growth, and love that make up this family. I couldn’t have dreamed up a better one. 😘 taken in Arizona State University - Tempe by @samoser2

Finished and off the needles! ❄️🧶

I cast this on January 10 and just bound off — my Maja cardigan for the @craftiquestudios colorwork KAL is done, and it’s also the first project I’ve completed for my Make 9 of 2026.

Yarn: Bossa Nova by Circulo (100% superwash merino)Colors: Navy, Pacific, Devotion, and Autumn

This was my first steek ever — and I chose to do it in superwash merino, which definitely added an extra challenge. Superwash doesn’t grab or felt the way traditional wool does, so reinforcing and cutting required extra care and a lot of trust in the sewing machine seams. If you’ve been nervous to try steeking, reinforcement is everything. After I block it one last time, I’ll throw a ribbon over the steek column inside to clean it up.

The long colorwork motifs that echo through the yoke, cuffs, and hem are such a satisfying design detail, and I love how the teal bands frame the colorwork and tie everything together.

Colorwork skills leveled up, fear conquered, sweater earned.
