A majority of our work on the @heyestrid deodorant focused on prototyping the internal structure and the user experience around the mechanism and internal hierarchy.

This is just a small handful of the prototyping we did while exploring - making sure it would be a seamless interaction with no unnecessary mess was a top priority from the start. taken in Los Angeles, California by @samplestudio.la

Working with @heyestrid on their first refillable antiperspirant roll-on meant rethinking how refillability actually shows up in this category. Instead of tossing the whole mechanism, the design separates the reusable roller ball from the recyclable refill that twists into place.

The form stands ball-down to keep the product primed, with a threaded, leak-proof cap that’s built to travel. Sample Studio led the industrial design from concept through prototyping and final 3D visuals.

A chamfer can be a simple bevel or part of a broader form language, from rolling transitions to variable cuts that shift along an edge.

There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a product you designed function exactly as it was intended to.

On Monday, we caught up with our friends at @chillsharkinc here in LA, where they were showcasing the fully functioning cold plunge system we designed at the @livelovespa Expo.

We snapped some photos and checked out all the details we’ve been working on, now brought to life. Excited to see where things go next for the team, and proud to see our design out in the real world.
