Re-introduction time ✨ Hi, I’m Samantha (she/her). 🪩 Identity designer and founder of @posypress.co, a design and risograph studio at @thegoatfarm in Atlanta.

I work with leaders at cultural and narrative-led organizations on identity systems and print-led storytelling — especially at moments of high visibility — cultivating resonance, connection, and momentum.

I’m really interested in how visuals connect with our values. The projects I love most center on culture, community, and story — storytelling that invites people in, sparks curiosity, and stays for a while. Print is a big part of that for me: it slows things down and gives ideas a physical life.

Posy Press is an LGBTQ+ femme-owned and run studio built around creative entrepreneurship, education, and collaboration. In addition to design, we teach risograph workshops, offer print services, and collaborate with artists and designers through guided projects.

The studio is run by a small core team — me, Emily (who keeps admin running smoothly), and @_ara_pena_ (my collaborator on print production and workshops) — plus a wider circle of creative collaborators.

A few moments from the first session of the MAP Rover x Posy Press Riso Animation Residency, presented by @downtownatlanta.

Riso animation brings the texture and layered color of Risograph printing into motion. Through the residency, five artists receive a stipend, four sessions at Posy to develop their work, and the opportunity to present it with MAP Rover in Downtown Atlanta.

This residency feels like a glimpse of the kind of creative infrastructure we want to help create in Atlanta. It also feels significant to be doing this at @thegoatfarm, a place with a long history of making space for artists and helping Atlanta’s creative ecosystem grow.

What feels especially significant is that women are leading every level of it: from @nina.dolgin at Downtown Atlanta, to @posypress.co / @samrich.co bringing the residency together, to @okmotionclub sharing their work as experienced professional motion designers and creatives, to our five artists in residence and the Posy team, @lensofmoo and @_ara_pena_ learning alongside one another.

Funding, small business, mentorship, experimental printmaking, animation, and knowledge sharing, all coming together to create more opportunities for artists in Atlanta.

We’re really excited to create alongside these amazing interdisciplinary Atlanta artists: @shelly.3d, @insarahsbrain, @sft4u, @bunnii.online, and @garden.of.jung ✨

Excited to share a little bit of design work from inside Posy. 💗

I’m Sam. If you’re seeing this through Posy, you might know me mostly as a small business owner. If you knew me before Posy, you probably know me as Sam the designer.

Over the past year, I’ve gotten a much clearer way of describing what I do: I design experiences — especially the visual identities, objects, and moments that help bring people together.

This year’s SITE Riso Photobooth is a fun example. The frame is a nod to the SITE T-shirt I designed for @thegoatfarm last year, which itself referenced an art activation I created with @downtownatlanta . And now Posy and @downtownatlanta are about to begin our first Posy Press × Map Rover residency together. Pretty cool to see those ideas and relationships keep growing.

And if you’re wondering what a Riso Photobooth is: my team and I have rigged up a slightly ridiculous technological contraption that lets us photograph people and turn those photos into Risograph prints within minutes. This is our third time running it and it keeps getting more exciting every time.

I feel really lucky that Posy gets to hold this kind of work — and very thankful for @_maddylyons and @_ara_pena_ , who help me bring these ideas to life. 💗

Calling all Atlanta artists! Applications are OPEN for the MAP Rover x Posy Press Risograph Animation Residency ✨

Selected artists will:
- Develop an original animation, video, or other time-based artwork
- Learn to translate their work into Risograph frames
Recompose those prints into a new moving-image piece
- Receive materials, production support, and guided access to Posy Press facilities
- Receive a $500 artist stipend
- Have their work exhibited through Downtown Atlanta Inc.’s MAP Rover program

Reminiscing on our first Risograph Animation workshop this month at @thegoatfarm 💐

Advanced workshops at Posy pair Risograph printing with specialized creative disciplines offering opportunities to learn directly from working artists and their unique practices.

This workshop was led by @samrich.co, sharing methods developed during her artist residency with @downtownatlanta and @fultonpublicart last year. ✨

Many of our advanced workshops use Risograph as a tool for exploring broader creative disciplines like animation, photography, illustration, and publishing. Because these topics are more specialized, they tend to be offered less frequently than our introductory classes.

We’re excited to keep creating opportunities for artists and curious learners to dive deeper into niche creative practices. If there’s a workshop we’ve offered in the past that you’d like to take, joining the waitlist helps us understand what our community wants to learn more about. We’re excited to create together.
