Intimate Tuscany wedding ceremony during warm Italian summer.Photographer notes:1) For a black-and-white veil shot, maid of honor was actually crouching down and holding the veil during the ceremony so it doesn’t blow away. Shortly after the couple were in place, I went over to her and put my wallet to weight down to Vail. Then I edit it out in post. So 10/10 effort by the main of honor. 💛 Mark & Julia Tuscany summer wedding (part 1) 1) For their photos, Mark and Julia looked to Vogue as their main inspiration. They were after an editorial feel that still came across as effortless. I love editorial photography, but if you take it too far, it can start to feel a little cold. What made the difference here was Mark and Julia themselves. Their emotions on the day balanced out the vibe and brought real humanity to every frame.2) Those flowers on the flat lay? Jennifer and Austin at Boston Public Library .Photographer Note:1) We actually got ready at a hotel across the street, but I wanted to bring a little more meaning to the flat lay. So I took the details and walked over to Boston Public Library, photographing them in the garden where the ceremony took place.2) I really love the photo of Jennifer’s father admiring her from afar. I know people often try to stay out of my way to avoid the cameras, but I genuinely appreciate the loved ones who stay close, because I get to capture them while they get to enjoy the moment. These aren’t the photos you plan for.
