We’re lucky to be living in one of the best places to go boating IN THE WORLD.

Sydney Harbour not only has the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House, it has a countless number of incredible anchorages, private beaches and no matter what the wind is doing there is always somewhere protected out of the wind for you to anchor and enjoy time with your friends and family.

In this video, Jack and I list out our top 5 anchorages in Sydney Harbour and list out in what conditions they are best suited.

When I was 1/3 of the way into the marathon, I hit a wall and had to stop and walk. For myself to reflect on after, I wanted to document how I was feeling and where my head space was at.

These are the only two videos I had on my phone.

I wasn’t able to bring out my phone for the rest of the race as I was just trying to focus on getting there but captured this that sums up where I was at…. And this was 2 hours into what ended up being 6.5 (clearly delusional still thinking it would take me 4-5 hours).

Anyway only sharing as the support I have received has genuinely blown me away… feeling extremely grateful 🙏🏼

Well… done.

The hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, and nothing even comes close 2nd.

For context, we started at 9am which is late for a marathon start given the temperature in the middle of the day.
It was 38 degrees, with no wind it felt like 40+.
Think hot humid day in Bali, that was it… plus 5 degrees.
It was also off-road.
By the 7km mark I was gone.
Heart rate was sitting at 191bpm so needed to make a major adjustment to the original plan if I was going to even attempt to complete a half marathon.
All my runs leading up were done on a flat footpath along Manly beach and when I ran my 12.5km I’d average 5:00 per km pace.
At 7km I couldn’t get my time below 6:20 per km and heart rate was red lining.
Anyway, in the end it took me 6 hours and 35 minutes.
I burnt 6,400 calories.
I can hardly walk but it’s done and an experience I won’t be back for anytime soon but one I’ll never forget.

@jesseitzler in the photo, is the one who ran the event is someone who I’ve looked up to for a long time, a great inspiration for his attitude towards life.

And thanks @cullzy for the phone call on last 5km, you got me home when I felt like I had a Great Wall of China in front of me. taken in Rome, Georgia by @samshhhort
