The story behind this beautiful mountain tradition is below.

It happens to trekkers all over the world, especially in the Himalayas and other mountain trails.

Most people think these dogs are simply following hikers for food or curiosity. And sometimes, that’s true.

But the locals tell a different story.

They believe these mountain dogs are silent guardians of the trails. They choose a traveler, walk beside them through difficult paths, and stay until they know the person has reached a safe place.

They don’t ask for anything.
They don’t expect a reward.
They simply walk with you…

And once your journey is safe, they quietly disappear back into the mountains, waiting for the next traveler.

Whether it’s instinct, kindness, or an old mountain legend, one thing is certain…

You’ll never forget the friend who appeared out of nowhere and made your journey feel a little less lonely. ❤️🐾

No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith.
