Sun on skin.
Feet in the water.
Smile on my face.

Gratitude in the heart.

As much as I’ve made the choices and taken the actions to direct my life, I couldn’t have drawn it up the way it’s playing out right now.

And this is coming from probably one of most challenging and disorienting transitions I’ve experienced, in the last year. taken in Malibu, California by @samsons_strength

The version of you that got you here is the part that’s also doing the seeking, and it’s the same part that has to be put to rest.

It’s not going to volunteer for that. It’s the reason you made it this far.

It’s also the reason you’ve forgotten the deeper part of you that’s been ready for what’s next even though you can’t see it yet.

Just like the eye can’t see itself, the thing you’re using to try and get out of this in-between is the very thing that’s keeping you in it.

You weren’t supposed to do it alone.

And yet you’ve tried to navigate these seasons of their lives by themselves.

You think about it, carry it, wait for clarity and hope time will eventually do its thing.

Sometimes it does.

A lot of times it doesn’t.

I created Real Contact because I’ve watched too many people spend years standing in the middle of something they were never meant to carry alone.

Because there was nowhere to bring it.

Nowhere to be met in it.

Nowhere for the thing underneath all the thinking, managing, and carrying to actually come into contact with something real.

That’s what the room is for.

We begin this Thursday.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes the hardest thing to let go of isn’t something that failed?

It could be something that worked.
Maybe it’s the way you learned to succeed or stay in control.

The things that gave you plenty.

That’s why it seems so difficult to see when they’ve reached their limit.

And you can feel when it’s run its course.

You’re being asked to loosen your grip on something that helped build your life, that helped you survive.

And because you don’t trust that feeling.

You push harder.

Think more.

Do more.

Try to get one more out of something that’s already asking to be released.

And it’s costing you way more energy.

It’s expensive to try to keep alive what is dying. by @samsons_strength

We change all the time.

Look at who you were five years ago what you wanted, who you needed, what felt permanent back then. Gone. And you barely noticed it.

So change was never the hard part.

What’s hard is that something in you is still honoring a contract that’s expired.

You made a quiet deal with the part of you that got you here. The part that helped you survive, helped you succeed, helped you belong, helped you stay safe.

Of course you’re loyal to it. And it kept its word.

So now you’re standing in the middle of a bridge. Disoriented. Unsure. Restless. Quietly suffocating. Because somewhere in you already knows that crossing feels like turning your back on the one who got you here.

It’s not. It served its purpose. You can thank it. You can love what helped you survive and still refuse to die there with it.

That’s what nobody tells you.

And you were never going to do it in your head. And you don’t have to cross the bridge alone.

What’s left is to make real contact with the part of you that survived everything to get you here.

We start next week. June 25

The more information increases, the more valuable our ability to recognize truth becomes.

Every day we’re exposed to more opinions, content, experts, algorithms, and endless perspectives telling us what to think, what to believe, and what we should do next.

This can be a good thing and…

The challenge is that all of that noise can make it harder to hear something much quieter inside of us.

A person says all the right words but something feels off and then someone else says a single sentence and it hits you somewhere deeper. You can feel the difference. You can feel when something is real.

You experience those moments and immediately talk themselves out of them.

The game is learning to stay with what you’re sensing long enough hear yourself beneath the noise.

As information continues to multiply, I think that relationship becomes increasingly important. Because eventually there comes a point where no article, podcast, expert, or algorithm can tell you what is true for your life.

At some point you’re left with yourself.
With nature. With God.

And your ability to recognize what resonates, what feels true, and what is asking for your attention may become one of the most valuable skills you ever develop.

It is exhausting it is to pretend something isn’t over.

Consider how much energy and resources are pulled and siphon just to continue what you know is done.

It’s in the Lineage.

One of the many things that encapsulated a very wild day today.

This one isn’t for you if you’re looking for a quick algorithmic dopamine hit.

I left it at 6 mins and for those who watch it through let me know your thoughts and what you felt from this in the comments by @samsons_strength

If the chase is who you think you are, then “getting there” kills the one who’s always “getting there.”

You can’t get to the end of a chase by chasing harder, it’s just more chasing. It happens when we stop.

And stopping feels like dying, because the part of you thats been running on effort has nothing left to do.

What dies is just the version of you built to earn its way back to something you already were, YOU. by @samsons_strength

Adding wood to the fire that represents a version of you that you’re watching burn down, just to feel the warmth of something familiar, won’t change the inevitable that needs to happen.

For you it feels like trying to keep something alive. But it’s already dead. Let what’s dying die, so that what’s alive can live.

Most of what looks like being stuck in the middle is really a quiet negotiation. A part of you holding on a little longer, hoping that if you stay patient enough, the life you knew comes back the way it was.

The peace tends to come the day you stop trying to negotiate with it.

If you’ve been standing in that middle for a while now, you don’t have to keep doing it alone. This is the work | love to do with people. by @samsons_strength
