Ironman Texas — dreamed of this one.

It’s hard to put into words what this race means to me. So much of this journey happened long before race day, in the quiet early mornings, the long training days, the sacrifices, the doubt, and the moments where I had to keep going even when I didn’t know if I could.

More than anything, I just feel thankful. Thank you to my family for loving me through every high and low and for believing in me even when I was exhausted, or overwhelmed. Your support carried me more than you know.

And to Henry and my training partners, thank you for being such a huge part of this journey. Thank you for the miles, the encouragement, the accountability, and for making the hard days feel lighter. Having people beside me through all of this meant everything.

This race may have my name on it, but it belongs to so many people who helped me get here. I’ll carry this one with me for a long time. ❤️ taken in IRONMAN in Texas by @samsterle
