How awesome is this! The 3 teams left in Major League Baseball - the Cleveland Guardians, Tampa Bay Rays, and Milwaukee Brewers - are all small markets who are desperate for a long awaited title. Hard to root against any of these 3! #milwaukeebrewers #clevelandguardians #tampabayrays #mlb #worldseries by @samtalkzball

The Cleveland Guardians have a two games to one lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League championship series! Petey Halpin of all people delivered a clutch homerun and the pitching was great as usual. Two more wins!!! #clevelandguardians #guardians #mlb #cleveland #clevelandsports by @samtalkzball

Wow! The Milwaukee Brewers have made not just major league baseball history, but American sports history! They are the first team to get swept 0 to 4 in the postseason and then sweep that same opponent 4 to 0 the following year. A revenge sweep has only happened four times prior, and never in consecutive seven games series. They are also the first team to trail in all four games of the best of seven postseason series that they swept. Now, only four wins separate the Milwaukee Brewers from their first ever World Series title. #milwaukeebrewers #brewers #mlb #milwaukee #dodgers by @samtalkzball

Freddy Peralta has been unhittable in his last eight starts, posting an ERA of just 0.81 across nearly 45 innings. However, it wasn’t always this way. Peralta had a really bad start to the season with the New York Mets. But ever since being acquired by Tampa Bay at the trade deadline, Peralta has seemed to return to elite form. And the reason why is really quite simple. #rays #tampabayrays #mets #freddyperalta #mlb by @samtalkzball

Make no mistake about it: the fact that the Cleveland Guardians have a one nothing lead in the American League championship series is a direct result of the front offices decision to address their weaknesses. Their aggressive trade deadline gave them two power bats they badly needed and a good starting pitcher. That’s not even mentioning Patrick Bailey, who they acquired earlier in the year. Every one of these players was instrumental in the Guardians win last night. #clevelandguardians #cleveland #clevelandindians #guardians #mlb by @samtalkzball

The Cleveland Guardians and the Tampa Bay Rays have the two lowest payrolls in the American league. However, the fact that they are meeting in the American League championship series is no shock. These are consistently two of the highest performing franchisees in Major league baseball year in and year out. #clevelandguardians #tampabayrays #rays #guardians #mlb by @samtalkzball

I really hope the Milwaukee Brewers defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers. That being said, I believe LA is too deep and experienced. Despite Milwaukee having home field advantage, I don’t think they can overcome the Dodgers. I am picking Los Angeles in 7. #dodgers #ladodgers #milwaukeebrewers #brewers #mlb by @samtalkzball

If you’re a White Sox fan, you may want to look away. Their hitters struck out at such an unbelievably high rate that I had to double, sometimes triple check these stats #whitesox #mlb #baseball #clevelandguardians #chicagowhitesox by @samtalkzball

I had high expectations for an incredibly entertaining series between the White Sox and the guardians… Even given those expectations, this series surpassed them tenfold! After going down two games to nothing, the Cleveland offense finally wakes up, winning two games in Chicago to send the series back to Cleveland for a winner take all game five. In that game five, the pitching is dominant and who else but José Ramírez to deliver the home run that would prove to be the difference. The Cleveland Guardians are moving on to face the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League championship series! by @samtalkzball
