Today feels like one of those moments worth acknowledging.

For a long time my life felt stuck in the same loop. Putting work in, trying to move forward, but never really feeling like anything was shifting. I made mistakes, lost years I can’t get back, doubted myself constantly and questioned whether the things I cared about actually mattered in the real world.

Music was never about chasing attention for me (although every artists sometimes needs validation). It was somewhere to put the truth. Somewhere to unpack things I couldn't speak to the world on a face to face level. A way to process life when everything else felt messy or out of control. A lot of the work happened quietly, with no audience and no feedback, just showing up because not doing it felt worse.

Being on BBC Introducing East Midlands tonight might not look massive from the outside, but to me it means the world. It feels like evidence that staying consistent, even when nothing seems to be happening, does eventually count for something. That momentum can build slowly without you noticing until one day it’s there.

I’m not where I want to be yet and I’m not pretending everything is sorted, but for the first time in a longggg time I genuinely feel like I’m getting somewhere. Like the effort isn’t disappearing anymore. Like the pieces are starting to connect.

If you’re in that middle space, where you’re not failing but you’re not seeing results either, don’t write yourself off. That part of the journey matters more than people admit. It’s where you learn who you are and whether you’re willing to keep going without guarantees.

This isn’t an arrival yet, but it’s a HUGE step forward for me, and one I’m proud of.
