Coyote vs. ACME A film that has been awaited by so many fans for years after countless lawsuits and mismanagement. This film has finally been released out of its perpetual prison. And how was it? Plain and simple, Coyote vs. ACME is fun. It's a great mixture between buddy-cop comedy meets a surrealist drama and a classic 90's inspired kids flick. The movie is charming. The art design is gorgeous. Seeing all of these characters back on screen was such a delight. The acting from Will Forte and his co-stars really helped the movie elevate from being just another dumb kids movie. Oh and I can't forget the jokes. This is a very edgy movie for a kids flick. Felt very at home in the "Space Jam, Looney Tunes: Back In Action, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers" pocket of films. If you're like me and you grew up with the Looney Tunes, then this movie will do wonders for your nostalgia. Good job to Ketchup Entertainment on this one. Such a solid as hell flick. by @samuel_cook_the

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Oh how I have been waiting for this day where we would finally see each other face to face. If you know me you know that I'm one of the biggest Spider-Man fan boys out there. I have been heavily invested into this world since I was little. I've always wanted to be like Peter and be like Spider-Man. And throughout this film, I feel like I can relate to the character that they have built. This is one of the best films that Marvel has ever crafted. And it might be the best film in the franchise. Which yes is a debatable take for sure, given all of the incredible performances and films that have been crafted over the years. But this. This felt different. This film is easily the most real and spiritually poignant films in the entire franchise. Obviously without spoilers. Now I gotta give credit to where credit is due. Tom Holland has given his all to this world and to this character, and throughout this film we see Tom's version of Peter fully realized. Peter is now all rounded, taking cues from Spider-Man's of his past. And crafting a suit that is both beautiful to look at but also pays homage to the masks before him. He did an excellent job. As always. And to Sadie Sink. Performance of a lifetime. Can't wait to see what they do with you and your character. This film is a character study. It's a film that deals with grief, anxiety, depression, and letting go of things that you can't control in order to fully realize your true potential. Becoming the person that you were created to be. And I think that we can all learn and relate to that. Spider-Man: Brand New Day. You are a beautiful film. And I owe a lot to you. by @samuel_cook_the

Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight. Although I have only been in your world for a few hours during multiple play sessions, I can confidently say that you are one of the best in the entire Lego franchise. An ode to a legacy built by small pieces. An homage to a legacy that has spanned generations. And a love letter to a company's enduring past. Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight delievers in it's excellence. From the massive spanning world, putting you into the trenches of Gotham City. To the outstanding character design. To the beautiful flowing Arkham styled combat. To the whimsy and charm brought to us from an early era Travellers Tales, bringing us such excitement and joy from titles like Crash Twinsanity, Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Haven: Call Of The King, Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, and many many more. This game is a love letter. It's a beautiful depiction of what can come from modern gaming. Sure it has its tropes, it's a super hero game after all. But the whole experience just works. I can't wait to continue to be a part of this world, and I can't wait for what this adventure lies ahead. Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight. You are a damn good game. by @samuel_cook_the

Darkman. A surrealist super hero flick that has so much charm for a movie so stupid. Imagine a hero with the poise and malice of someone like Batman or Rorschach before him and add a healthy dose of Sam Raimi's iconic handy work and you have something truly special. The true definition of a cult classic. This film is a deranged mess in all of the best ways possible. An underrated unhinged classic. "Maybe I am just a circus freak." by @samuel_cook_the

Oh Mario Galaxy. Hated by so many but also beloved all the same. The critics current punching back is a fun yet flawed experience. Entertaining even with its short comings. A tale that sticks the landing as hard as it can. Continuing the story of this new universe through the mushroom kingdom. It's a fun and enjoyable ride through the galaxy as we go on an adventure with our lovable pals through different lands experiencing all that the world continues to offer. Is it perfect? No. Does hold a candle to its predecessor? A debatable take sure. Is it just a shallow Kids film as pointed out by critics and fans alike? Also no. Mario and Luigi's adventure through new galaxies and distant lands is an enjoyable ride that quenches the thirst for fans to enjoy even with its slower pacing and convoluted plot. I look forward to new adventures with Mario and the gang. Especially if my homie Fox McCloud the space pirate himself is along for the ride. by @samuel_cook_the

"Why can't we all just get along?" One of my all time favorite movies is this little cult classic. A film that I think perfectly establishes comedy and surrealism. Equal parts comedy, equal parts camp horror, equal parts slapstick. It's a beautiful mesh of 90's pop culture with an all-star cast. Oh and what a very timely movie as well.
