Yesterday I had the great pleasure of speaking with @brainardcarey on Yale University radio. We spoke about ‘Axe’ and other works in my show Hitchhike From Saginaw. Many thanks to Brainard for his thoughtful questions. Link in bio

Emily Chun for Impulse Magazine: ‘Self-Portraiture and the Opacity of Class’

“These self-portraits not only underline a certain performativity that is inherent to any kind of subjectivity, but they also comprise a composite portrait of a certain American class: the mythic men who (unwillingly) symbolize the economic decline that has beset much of rural America.”

‘Hitchhike from Saginaw’ at Auxier Kline in NY closes this Friday, Dec 19. Thanks to all who have seen it, and thank you to @emchun and @impulse_magazine_ for publishing this thoughtful review. Link in the bio — by @samuelcguy
