I love talking to strangers. I think I always did. I remember when I was a kid, like 3 or 4, my parents would take me to Friday Night Jazz at LACMA. I’d run to the stage and start dancing with the musicians. I wanted to talk to them, hear their stories, learn their secrets… Strangers were endless possibilities: mystery boxes waiting to be opened.

At the end of last year I was reflecting on what I wanted to do next. I’ve always wanted to align my career with what I enjoy most and I tend to think in reverse. What do I love doing? How can I make that my full time job?

So I thought: I love talking to strangers. How can I make that my full time job? A few weeks later I came up with this kernel of an idea and after a Finding Founders interview I pitched it to @jasonylee_ Somehow in December 2021 Jason and @jubileemedia decided to take a chance on me and create a show together that would become 100 New Friends.

These pictures are from the New York episode. It’s going to be the best one yet.

I’m excited for ya’ll to see it soon :)
