vis dev paintings for #thatchristmas I don’t wanna spoil anything yet so I’ll start with some exploration for the setting, a cosy English seaside town at Christmas time 🥰 the first one has good composition because it’s based on a storyboard panel by @lorenzo.fresta 💚
Forever grateful to the team at @locksmithanimation for trusting me, everyone there is so nice it feels like cheating. Thank you to my dad @justinchc , my big brother Mike Redman (what happened to your ig?) and my fellow art department buddies @tamsinblack @yannbenedi @hmfoot for always being so nice to me and making this movie something we can be so proud of. Thank you @simonottoanim for being the most humble, friendly and ego-less director I’ve ever met, and lastly thank you to everyone at @dneganimation whose hard work turned our silly drawings into an actual film!!! by @samuelsmith.art

Last year I was brought on very briefly at the end of production to help finish the color keys on @legendofaangmovie and was super impressed with what they showed me.
I didn’t get to do much work but I hope it was helpful.
Congratulations to the whole team, I am amazed by everyone’s work especially the background painters 🤯

Thank you @aaroncandraw and @jake.panian.art for trusting me 🙏
