I spent several years guiding canoe trips on the Rio Grande through @bigbendnps
.
I spent years working on conservation projects throughout the river corridor. Invasive species management, riparian vegetation surveys, aquatic species surveys, and geologic surveys. Working alongside American and Mexican crews, both sides of the border.
.
I grew to love this area and to know it intimately. Canyons filled with fossils, pot shards, knapped chirt shards, pictographs, mitate, candaleria factories; human and natural history reaching back millennia.
.
It breaks my heart to watch bulldozers plow through the riparian areas.

holy shit 💍 what a weekend by @samuelthackeray

Utah is hot. South America is about to get hammered with snow and I’m day dreaming about my last day of riding this season. Summiting Mount Rainier with Bryce and @homecountyhighpoints via the Emmons. It was perfect.

Out there for a little mountain romp as the smoke rolled in yesterday. Just as I got back to the truck ash started falling from the sky. Seems like we are really in for it this summer.

Sitting in the airport waiting to fly out to the PNW, looking back on the last time I was out there a few weeks ago. Unfortunately Jess won’t be joining this time, but stoked to reunite with @homecountyhighpoints for some more mountain time! Very fun making turns down a 50 classic, hopefully we can score some great turns on another classic PNW ski descent this weekend.

A little look back at Denali this time last year with @c_brown970 @bjraff_ and @candid_cam_ra
It sure was a damn good time and I don’t think I have laughed as much since. I am looking forward to the day we get to reunite in the Alaska Range.

Headed out with @homecountyhighpoints and Jess to give the Isolation Traverse a go. Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worse and we had to bail, but we got to make turns on this classic, which was well worth the trip!

I have been looking at this line on the map since last year. I finally had the opportunity to go check it out and I was not disappointed! Just couldn’t quite keep it together and avoid the rock at the bottom.

Short and sweet. A nice little warmup and entry to the zone.

Went out to explore a zone I had been looking at on the map for a little while. This was one of 4 lines I was able to ride in that zone. A very fun day in a new area with really good conditions. Thanks to @shaunraskin and @inspiredsummitadventures for the vision and helping to facilitate the day!
