Anyone who knows me knows how special this is for me, because (🚨!!overshare alert!!🚨) I’ve never celebrated a one year with anyone before. And I am SO thankful it worked out that way because I’m celebrating this special milestone (for the first time) with the most amazing, perfect, loving, kind, patient, warm-hearted woman anyone could ever ask for. There is nobody or nothing in the UNIVERSE that could bring me more immediate happiness and overall love of life than this special girl has brought to mine, and there is nobody that challenges me in all of the best ways (while being so patient with me at the same time) quite like you do. I’ve been SO BLESSED to get to spend this life with you adventuring and just loving each other, to watch you interview, get accepted to, and start Dental School, and move to BUFFALO with you for it (!!life update for me!!). You are the most intelligent, mature woman I have ever met (much more mature than I am even with our age gap), and I am so proud/in awe of and inspired by how well you handle the challenges of life - particularly how hard you work in school and at the things you love. And I’m especially grateful and in love with how amazing you are with my family, especially my nieces and nephews - all 8 of whom instantly loved you from day 1 ❤️. You and I have grown so much together over just the last year and I’m so excited to see what the future holds! ❤️

Giant Mountain —> Rocky Peak Ridge. Good crew and what a hike! So many amazing intermittent views the entire way. Fall foliage not quite at peak but still so many beautiful colors to witness. Haven’t had a fall foliage view in a while! Would’ve liked a little more sun, but so nice to do a high peaks hike that finishes early enough to grab a burger after, for the first time in a few years! 2 more high peaks, 25 down, 21 to go! #ADKs #aspiringadk46er #fall taken in High Peaks Wilderness by @samval623

Got engaged and set a date (7/10/2027!! ❤️), got a new job at my company so I can work from home, did three more ADK High Peaks (Gothics, Sawteeth, Armstrong - 20/46!) with great friends, took a few amazing trips with my love, saw my 29th and 30th (!!!) DMB shows (Ashleigh’s first!) along with a couple other amazing concerts, and the Taco Bell Quesarito came back (😍). Best year of my life 🙂💍 by @samval623
