Happy Birthday to this babe 🥳

Today is my wife’s birthday and mine is tomorrow!
So tonight we are going to celebrate & see the boys in Thornhill and Vianova 👌

So grateful for how selfless and supportive she has been this past year and I love how much live music we’ve been able to enjoy together this year! Only more to come 🥳

Happy b day 😙😙 by @samwerrell

Improv drum idea + Alan Rigdon = 🚀

I sent Alan a drum clip that was all improv in one take and sounded cohesive enough to work with. We loved the vibe of it as it was, and he turned it into this banger 🔥

He mapped out all the midi for the drums and recorded everything else in the track.
Dudes a wizard 🧙‍♂️

& there’s a full walk though of Alan piecing this together on his YouTube channel right now. Go check that out!

Monster Riff + A little backstory. Good to be back ✌️

I’ve been locked in the last couple months and making some huge progress with the pain that was in my body that I put off for years.

I’ve stripped my whole technique drumming wise and I’m even retracting myself how to walk correctly. It’s been a painful and a longer road than I thought, but very rewarding so far. Got a little more to go.

BUT. @alanrigdon cooked up some incredible parts to this random improv idea that I had put on the stories a while back, and it’s phenomenal. I’ll be sharing the full clip of it soon. Enjoy the little snack of it here 😁

Grammy winning Olivia Dean with “prog” drums ⚡️

Chat did I overplay? 🤣

Little improv jam after filming the other day.
We cool with other genres too or nah?
If so, what else should I include?

I saw @samwerrell arrangement of this @meshuggah classic and had to wet my beak.

I dialed a grotesque tone out of my @iconicguitar Strat’s single coil using the @fortinamps Nameless Suite X (running on my @neuraldsp Quad Cortex mini). by @samwerrell

Monster thick Meshuggah riff ⚡️Ivory Tower 🕊️

This song has such a groovy / sludgy riff that just always does something for me. & the drums are so tastefully in the pocket the entire time, it’s perfect 👌
