Manchester Marathon 26

03:02:48

Managed to trip up and fall over at 34k and just couldn’t recover that deep into the race.

After a major head loss I managed to pull it back and come away with a 12 minute marathon PB.

No sub 3 today, but still proud of that effort I give it everything I had and that’s all that matters I know my time will come.

Now get me a beer 🙌🏽 taken in Manchester, United Kingdom by @samwright93_

A lot can change in 6 months …

Be selfish, show up for yourself daily and do what you say you’re gonna do.

I’ve always struggled with my weight been up and down all my life. (Mainly up)

Diagnosed with an under active thyroid a few years back. Was told I’ll be on medication for the rest of my life.

Got to the route of the problem through my own research and regular blood work I’ve fixed myself with help of no doctor.

Not took any of their pills since that first photo was taken. by @samwright93_

Mega day out that yesterday with the boys.

Nothing comes close to that race day feeling after months of training and watching it all come together.

Enjoyed getting involved in a new sport over the last couple months but now the focus is purely back to running.

13 weeks to prepare for Malaga Marathon where we all know the goal.

Time to work.

Salford Olympic Triathlon

🏊🏼- 1.5KM - (46:40)
🚴🏼- 40KM - (01:13:40)
🏃‍♂️- 10KM -(41:48)

First triathlon in the bag, couldn’t swim 2 lengths 8 weeks ago so to get through today was a massive achievement.

A big learning curve and a good idea of what’s to come next year.

Lots of work to be done but ready to see what we can do 🙌🏽 taken in MediaCityUK by @samwright93_

June was a big one.

My biggest ever training month, setting the standard for a massive 12 months ahead.

Copenhagen Marathon 2026 🇩🇰

Chip time: 03:05:21

Rolled the dice but it just wasn’t to be. 2 marathons in 3 weeks was always going to be a tough task.

Time to recover and reset after 6 month of marathon training.

We love this game 💯 taken in Copenhagen, Denmark by @samwright93_

Touchdown in Copenhagen 🇩🇰

Sometimes in life the biggest gamble you can take is the one where you gamble on yourself.

21 days post Manchester marathon.

Tomorrow we roll the dice again, all or nothing.

Ahh shit, here we go again.

Good luck to everyone running tomorrow.

Nothing quite comes close to that pre marathon buzz. The nerves are creeping in now but I can’t wait to get out there.

Time to shine.

30k in the legs this morning the last biggie before @manchestermarathon

23 weeks ago I started to prep for Malaga. Having to pull out mid race was a tough pill to swallow especially when the group I ran with all went sub 3.

Got straight back to work when the injury cleared up and used that disappointment as fuel to become even better.

I have loved every minute of this block and can’t wait to go and showcase the fitness I have built over the last 6 months.

Everything happens for a reason eh …

I have ticked all the boxes and genuinely coming into this one in best shape of my life with a big thanks to @caltowny @peakperformanceendurance

Now for the dreaded taper 😂👍🏼

21 days to go … ⚒️
