Amazing day.

Ran a personal best of 67 miles. @prairieonfire is such a beautiful community experience. Two years ago when I ran this race for the first time, I didn’t know anybody. I pulled up with a chair in a backpack and tried my best.

This year I had a whole tent set up, four friends join me to raise money for @universalcares317 / @newshoeday, and take on the experience together.

I think the best part was I’ve made so many friends in the running community over the last year that there wasn’t a single loop on the entire course where I didn’t get to say hi to somebody or share a few miles.

In the past, everybody was a stranger but always kind, now I truly have a lot of friends out there. That really helps miles go by.

Thanks for all the support out on the course friends! See you in 2027! taken in Koteewi Park by @samyeary

A wild week of running in preparation for @prairieonfire!

A Saturday double with 16 miles at our farm (@wildmerefarm) for the Moovin’ & Groovin’ 4 Hour Fun Run in support of @camerondeanbalser and his FKT attempt later this year across America.

Then 13.1 later that evening at the Summer Nights Trail Run, followed by a couple of 🌭 Hot Dogs running in the Run 3.17 event in Speedway yesterday.

Thankful for this running community and the chance to bring people together! taken in Gosport, Indiana by @samyeary

Year 2 of the Zion 100k in the books! Shaved off just under and hour from last years race and overall felt much stronger!

Started with an epic road trip from Indy to Zion with @runjoerun57 to meet up with the family. Camped out at the start / finish in the Sprinter van and then hit the trails at 6:30am! Joe and I got to share about 30+ miles together and then he crushed his 60k. @ericamillsyeary and @kyleclloyd crewed with the boys and the Kyle helped me bring home for the last 18miles as a pacer.

Also had our friends @denny.bri and @tonynizzi show up and cheer us on!

You learn a lot every time you put yourself out there. This race was no different. Proud of where I made it to so far and looking forward to future races! Got my @wser qualifying entry ticket and improved. Hard to beat that! taken in Gooseberry Mesa by @samyeary

Probably the best weather and day I could have asked for @prairieonfire. Got to run 9 yards (37 miles!) with my brother Max who kicked ass. He only planned on going 12!

Followed by another 4 yards to make it out on the night course and complete 13 yards (54 miles!)

Big improvement from the 7 yards last year and can’t wait to do it again! This race allows you to test yourself and see what you’re made of. The goal was 50, and then I went one more.

Had a great time running @thefullmo50k today! Set my PR in the marathon and 50k and absolutely surprised myself.

Just gotta keep putting yourself out there and see what happens! Everything lined up for me with hydration and nutrition, the weather was great, and so was the event!

Thanks @meshingomesiatrackclub and @mounttocoast for a fun event, can’t wait for @prairieonfire in September 🔥

Finished my first 100K in 18 hours and 10 minutes. Zion Ultras was an absolute blast 💥

I under trained for this one just like I have for about every other race I’ve competed in. Getting enough training in is definitely a challenge with a family and everything that life throws at you. But I’m really pleased that I put myself out there!

Huge shoutout to @dhurshy for crewing me and traveling! Also shout out to @ericamillsyeary for supporting me and holding down the fort at home.

Also, I don’t know if I would’ve done as well if I hadn’t linked up with a fellow runner, Rachel, who absolutely crushed the entire day. We started the race together by chance, and then proceeded to keep each other company and ran about 61 of the 62 miles together. I benefited from her pacer/ boyfriend Jonathan, who helped to keep us sane and on pace for the remaining 18 miles and I am forever grateful!

Thanks to everyone who tracked me and sent love and support my way! It really helped! taken in Apple Valley, Utah by @samyeary

Little photo dump of the last week or so being out of the hospital with Cal. It’s a whirlwind of a time with two but the fun times are just getting started. by @samyeary

Surprise! We welcomed our newest born Callahan Andrew on last Thursday at 7lbs 3oz and 18.5in long.

He’s eating, sleeping, growing, pooping and our little family of three has grown to four.

We hit the “jackpot” and have our third heart warrior as well. We knew early on Callahan was going to have a heart condition and were prepared for a surgery eventually based on many visits with the great drs. / staff at Riley. However, we were surprised after birth that his condition is more serious than expected and he’ll need heart surgery here in less than a week. He diagnosis is Truncus Arterious.

Any thoughts, prayers, hugs, and vibes are accepted and welcomed. Unfortunately, yet fortunately, we are uniquely qualified to help support Callahan and we have our fingers crossed for a healthy recovery and we hope to get him home by Halloween. taken in Riley Children's Health by @samyeary
