Still on a high after an amazing summer ☀️ First time Dekmantel Selectors, last time Horst, our party in Berlin with Nu Guinea & Wax’o Paradiso, Pukkelpop... I could write long thank-you messages for all of them but I’m more articulate expressing my gratitude the next time we see each other on the dance floor 💃🏽 Big shout to all my friends in Belgium for their ongoing support and wicked dance moves. It means a lot to see you everywhere and to feel things are moving back home. Off to Barcelona for Libido and also brought a special selection for the online Kasheme stream in Zurich tomorrow. Have a lovely weekend 🎶 Video by @popsneverdrops 🙏🏼 taken in Berlin, Germany by @san_soda

Pleasure speaking to @stampthewax about how digging for music has evolved and super happy with how the mix turned out! Lots of precious records and recorded in times where we need them the most. Shout to @clauset_dekeyser for designing the shelves in the background 🙏🏼 📖 + 🎶 link in bio

Felt great to play records again lately 😇

Big thank you to all promotors dealing with the the long break, the regulations and uncertainties giving us the chance to do our thing once again behind and in front of the DJ booth.
Enjoy every party like it’s the last but stay wise and safe so we can keep it going!

End of the hiatus in sight! My thoughts have been with many who have lost. May the coming period be all about music and about coming together again, stronger and more grateful for what we have than ever before.

Playing records at @stelplaatsleuven tonight, catch me 7-10PM and come early for @bjeor_ 3-7PM. taken in Leuven, Belgium by @san_soda

Long in the making and ready now: the best of Joy, a compilation of tracks taken from their albums “I Feel The Spirit” and the illustrious “The Time Is Right”.

Joy was a performing Gospel band in San Diego, spreading the word of God throughout the local community and opening for renowned Gospel artists such as Danniebelle Hall, Jessy Dixon and Sandra Crouch. Led by producer/musician Matt Anderson, the two albums were recorded in ’78 and ’83 and feature an impressive array of very talented contributing artists such as bass player Michael-Kae and multi-instrumentalist Clarence Bell, also known for his work on Stevie Wonder’s "Innervisions".

Restored and remastered from the original master tapes, the compilation will be available on a high quality vinyl pressing and includes the masterpiece The Time Is Right among a collection of lesser known but equally powerful and timeless pieces of music.

Both this and the This Island Is Our Home 12" will be pressed according to Bandcamp demand initially so pre-order your copy there - link in bio 🔝
If you pre-order, you’ll already receive a selection of tracks digitally until the record drops in August.

Last Friday finally saw the release of a beautiful project my friend @gratts.dj has been working on for quite a while: "Una Vida De Barrio", a release compiling tracks by a few of the people we play cage footie with in Kreuzberg.

Presented are 11 tracks (or what did you expect?), each dedicated to the composer’s football hero. As such, the tracklist forms an all-star fantasy "Mannschaft". 5 of the tracks have been pressed loud onto wax as a little club sampler. Available via Bandcamp and at some of your favourite record stores soon. (Each record comes with a free digi download of the whole comp.)
My contribution is dedicated to Phillipe Albert who graciously helped us beat the Netherlands in the most epic “Derby der Lage Landen” in the '94 World Cup in Orlando.

Shoutouts to all the players for their music: @carlosthings, @tom_saw_dat, @e_talking_, @checkupofficial & @project89music, @san_soda, @djtrujillo, @juliano_dj, @eluizemusik, @elelayas, @james_ah_martin and @ianblevins.
Hi-fives to everyone that’s played with us in the past ⚽️ Info and pre-order: https://unavidadebarrio.bandcamp.com/

Out now! MTMB02 is pure disco fire: think Greg Carmichael/Patrick Adams for synths and arrangement meeting the dubbed out sounds of Arthur Russell early 80s. Available now on the MTMU Bandcamp and teleported to your local record store by @rhd_rushhourdistribution
