Postcards from our honeymoon in Taormina, Sicily 🇮🇹

After the BEST wedding week, we got to keep that just married feeling going at the beautiful 📍Four Seasons San Domenico Palace @fstaormina

We truly couldn’t have picked a better place to spend those first few days together. Between exploring Taormina, relaxing at the property, the unreal views, and the little details everywhere you looked, we never wanted to leave! The service was also incredible. We felt so taken care of the entire time.

Gosh, where to even begin. Carmela and Jacob’s story started a long time ago. The only reason I know that is because we are all dear friends. It is hard not to be dear friends with them. If you’re a friend of theirs at all, it’s a dear one. Filming a friend’s wedding is always so much fun but this one felt different. The way they best experience anything is if they are experiencing it with their friends and family. Their wedding was no exemption.

I knew that, even when working, they’d appreciate it most to see us enjoying the food, meeting new people, and putting the camera down to dance until the end of the night. It made the whole week the best one ever.

I found out last year that Jacob and I share similar tastes in music. Specifically, we love The Killers and have loved the song “Human” since their Day and Age album came out in 2008. When I heard it play again during their reception, I knew I had to look into the song a little more and be intentional like Carmela and Jacob. The lyric, “Are we human or are we dancer?” is meant to ask if we are our true authentic selves or our we simply putting on a performance.

For Carmela and Jacob, the performance is their true self. The dancing, laughter, excitement, and grandiose personalities. It’s true to who they are. Their wedding in Pienza will go down as one of the funnest days of our lives.

So to answer Brandon Flowers question… they do not have to choose between the two. They are both human and dancer 🖤
