Sandbach School Golf Championships!Last week, Mr Townsend hosted our annual School Golf Championships at @crewegolf It was a fantastic day, with a brilliant turnout and some excellent performances across the board.Congratulations to our Year 12 student, Cal Woolley, who was crowned the Sandbach School Golf Champion 2026! 🏆👏Mentions also for Ed Suter who won the white tee competition and Jay Gratton the red tee competition!Well done to everyone who took part and helped make the event such a success. by @sandbachschool

A quick round up of the first few days of enrichment week. Students have been busy touring olive oil farms in Italy, exploring fragrant lemon gardens, making traditional gelato, and learning the art of authentic pizza making.Take a look at some of the fantastic highlights and memories from our Year 12 trip to Switzerland so far!Students wowed audiences with their performance of Little Shop of Horrors and more while enjoying their music tour across Germany.A day of adventure included exploring Macclesfield Forest and climbing to the summit of Shutlingsloe, taking in some spectacular views.Students visited the Army Museum and thoroughly enjoyed the interactive exhibits, alongside exciting F1 experiences.Students have also embraced the outdoors with paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing and climbing before taking on the cliffs in the afternoon.Students staying closer to home have been making the most of a fantastic range of activities.This is only a snippet of the beginning of our amazing enrichment week, please keep up to date on Instagram stories for live updates. by @sandbachschool

Reward Trip!As a reward for consistently demonstrating the high standards and values we champion at Sandbach, a select group of students enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Crewe Alexandra Stadium.It was a fantastic morning, and we are incredibly grateful to our guide, John, whose knowledge and enthusiasm brought the club to life. He was hugely impressed by our students and said he looks forward to welcoming more Sandbachians in the future. by @sandbachschool

Sports Day 2026 🏆Another fantastic Sports Day with outstanding participation, incredible effort, and unbelievable races!Congratulations to Lea House, who were crowned Sports Day Champions 2026! 🔴🏆A special mention goes to G. Connery, who broke the Year 10 400m record, a mark that had stood since 2009, previously held by Calvin.Congratulations also to our Year 12 student, O. Johnson who broke the Senior 100m Sports Day record, beating the previous record set by Liam Clowes in 2010.A huge well done to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success. by @sandbachschool

Proud school!Mr McGarrigle and four Y11 students - Jacob, Elliot, George and Ollie - have been selected to join an International Youth Exchange for the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. This brings together students from France, Germany, and the UK to be a part of the anniversary commemorations in France. Today the students represented their school and country at the Thiepval Memorial event, where Princess Anne gave a speech. by @sandbachschool

A week of Transition. Last week, we welcomed students for a range of taster and transition days, including our Sixth Form Taster Day on Monday and our Year 6 Transition Days on Thursday and Friday.We also hosted our Open Evening on Tuesday for all prospective Year 4&5 studentsWe hope everyone enjoyed their visit and are looking forward to starting their journey with us in September. by @sandbachschool

We look forward to welcoming you to our Open Evening tomorrow (23rd June).ℹ️There will be a range of activities on offer from each of our curriculum departments between 16:00 and 19:00. 🗣️Sarah Burns, Headteacher will give a talk at 17:30 in the Theatre. Members of the school leadership team will be on hand to answer any questions before and after the presentation.
