It's our birthday month, Sandbox Collective turns 13 this week. It's time to celebrate, and, YOU ARE invited.
In 2013 when a two-member team presented our first show to an 8 member audience we had no idea - or ambition - that we'd last 13 years 😍.
Here's looking back at every show, every volunteer, every member, artist, friend, supporter, collaborator, and partner that has walked with us on this journey. Every show, event and person has brought immense joy and learning to Sandbox, and for those of us still here,there's nothing but gratitude at everything that's come our way.
Here's looking forward to what's yet to come - one step at a time.
But for now.. come and celebrate with us.

Cyanotype workshop to Celebrate World Cyanotype Day! ☀️💙

Come experiment with the beautiful and magical process of cyanotype printing and create your own cyanotype artwork during the workshop!

The exciting part? Whatever you create during the workshop will be displayed as part of the World Cyanotype Day Exhibition. You’ll get to see your artwork exhibited alongside other cyanotype works as part of the celebration.

And after the exhibition, your artwork is yours to take back home! 💙

📅 27 September 2026, 11:30am to 2pm 📍 Sandbox Collective’s Studio 💰 Workshop Fee: ₹1,500 per person, Including all the materials.

Disco Party at Studio 345 is a weekly-ish dance party for children and adults.

Disco Party is NOT a dance class: there's no teacher, no rules, just dancing! So come and move with a friendly crew of folks who like to boogie.

Dancing is for grownups too - so bring your best moves! Each child should be accompanied by a single adult. Accompanying adults need not be a parent, any trusted guardian who's ready to dance is welcome.

In “Wait To Be Seated,” two feminist collectives, 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗯𝗼𝘅 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 / @sandboxcollective from Bangalore and 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗽 / @she_she_pop from Berlin, come together to explore the laws of hospitality.

“The Guest is Equal to God” or “The door is open, dear guest, please enter” are popular sayings in southern India. We cannot think of a comparable inviting proverb in German.

“Wait To Be Seated” creates an exercise course of hospitality in a nowhere-anywhere setting with a dining table, red carpet and dance floor. We see two groups that initially stand on opposite sides, but slowly find ways to meet in the middle to open up a new horizon.

In “Wait To Be Seated” begegnen sich zwei feministische Kollektive, 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗯𝗼𝘅 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 / @sandboxcollective aus Bangalore und 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗽 / @she_she_pop aus Berlin, um die Gesetze der Gastfreundschaft zu untersuchen.

“Der Gast gleicht einem Gott” oder “Die Tür ist offen, lieber Gast, tritt ein” sind in Südindien beliebte Redewendungen. Auf Deutsch fällt uns kein vergleichbar einladendes Sprichwort ein.

“Wait To Be Seated” entwirft in einem entrückten Nirgendwo einen Parcours der Gastlichkeit mit Esstisch, rotem Teppich und Tanzfläche. Wir sehen zwei Gruppen, die zunächst auf gegensätzlichen Seiten stehen, aber langsam Wege finden, sich in der Mitte zu treffen, um einen neuen Horizont zu eröffnen.
