【新作発表｜新国立劇場主催】 New Production Announcement | New National Theatre, Tokyo For the 2026/2027 season, the New National Theatre, Tokyo will present the world premiere of a new work by Kenta Kojiri. This new work brings together dancers from the New National Theatre Ballet and internationally active contemporary dancers. Different styles of movement will “dialogue” with each other on stage. The piece explores the theme of the body in constant change—its “present moment” and traces of memory—expressed through Kenta Kojiri’s delicate yet powerful choreography. Study for Self/portrait 2017年の初演以来、同じ振付からこの作品を踊り続けている。 けれど、その振付は完成されたものではなく、いつも出発点。 踊る環境が変わり、年齢を重ねるたびに、同じ動きは異なる意味や感覚を帯びる。 歳を重ねると、今までよりどころだった技術や型は少しずつ輪郭を失い、「振付」としてのダンスは次第に見えなくなっていく。 そのとき立ち現れるのは、今ここにある身体。 振付をたどることは過去を再現することではなく、その身体が何を記憶し、何を手放してきたのかを確かめる行為になる。 観客は完成された作品を観るのではなく、時間を重ねた身体が、その瞬間にしか生まれない存在を見届ける証人となる。 #kentakojiri #studyforselfportrait_dance #小㞍健太 #lookingforopportunities #dance @sandd_dance @bpam_official taken in Busan 釜山, South Korea by @sandd_dance

縁側と庭園 フレームやレイヤーは空間を区切るために存在する。しかし、その境界は閉じるためではなく、互いの存在を際立たせながら、一つの場としての一体感を立ち上げるための媒介となって、私たちの記憶を呼び覚ます。 Engawa Series 2024-2026 This project is the collaborative research work of choreographer and dancer Kenta Kojiri @kojirikenta and architect Hannes Mayer @hannesantonmayer As my time and activities in Japan have increased, I have often found myself sitting on an engawa, quietly looking out at the garden. The sense of stillness and concentration I feel there is very close to what I experience while dancing.
