Here we go again, because ripping of our Dupattas, Kolhapuris, Mukaish work, lehengas (& more) wasn’t enough.

“Politics of Fashion” & “Cultural Appropriation”
Getting inspired is one thing but capitalising on that without due credit and reaping financial benefits without passing it further to the origin, that doesn’t sit well with me. Nor should it sit well with you!

And that too huge names doing what they’re doing with no sense of responsibility whatsoever.

Nothing will change if we don’t value what we have, our culture, our art and most importantly the people of craft ie our Karigars.

Our ornate Tukdi Necklace & Chhatree Jhumkas
on the absolutely gorgeous bride Mani ✨

Back story- It was the very first time Mani reached out to me, she saw a post on my personal page and reached out. We decided to work on a trial project, so she actually sent us a picture of a design that she wanted custom-made to her preference.
A couple calls, numerous texts, images and video calls later, this is was what we lovingly crafted, she loved it so much that we then ended up doing her wedding jewels!
Thankyou for placing your trust in me, in Sanddook and giving me the space to do what I do best :)

We handcrafted this royalty to perfection in 925 Silver, encrusted with enormous semiprecious “Tukdas” further plated in 22k gold.

•We believe, since it’s a very special day, your jewels must reflect your personal style should be just what you’ve envisioned and so we design accordingly keeping you in the loop every single step of the process.
•Keeping your budget in mind is super essential for us while we’re customising, we try to keep the price points as realistic as possible so that your dream jewels don’t feel like a compromise(look or pricing wise).
•I have a very sustainable approach towards all pieces I personally design for myself or my clients. Having that said, I try keeping the design & mechanism in a manner that the jewels become timeless & multipurpose so you can wear them with multiple outfits and on multiple occasions and they remain evergreen.
•Jewels are meant to be worn and not for putting away in a LOCKER. Our pieces are crafted by the most skilled Master Gold Karigars ensuring (highest quality standards) but in 925 Silver, so even though our jewels look like gold because of their finish they still don’t make a hole in your wallet plus make them super Travel-Friendly!

Goddess Lakshmi ji is known for compassion, charity, and purity. She’s believed to be the preserver & defender of the universe maintaining harmony and balance in the world.

They say when a daughter is born she brings home Lakshmi, meaning she brings harmony, wealth, prosperity and good fortune.

Lakshmi ji is represented by Lotus, Elephants and Gold and that’s how we wanted to design this pieces with all her elements beautifully amalgamated into a statement bejewelled set.
