Take the red pill. Escape the matrix. Make it happen.

Fired up the ol rig and secured my kayak with a piece of string and a bungee cord… that ain’t going no where … 🫪
Then spent the morning meandering the flats with nothing but a MirrOlure Top Pup, my boomerangs, and a dream. Switched gears in the afternoon and chased sandy snook at the seashore deep into the sunset.

10 trout. 10 reds. 10 snook. Broke off the tarpon... but that’s fishing or whatever the age-old saying is.

Days like this put the light back in your eyes. A solo strike mission for the books and a powerful reminder of what it truly feels like to be alive…

Mullet “walk” archives 2025… Not pictured, me spending a whole week chasing these fish day and night, on the brink of losing my employment and mind. Literally running on 1 mile to E in limp mode.

Although these pictures made it seem like it was a great mullet run, this was one of the toughest migrations I’ve seen in terms of snook caught or seen. Snook numbers were way down and no where near years past, something needs to change…
