I'm very late in posting about this, but I think I was still letting it sink in. Last week Monday, the 5th of June, was one the most memorable nights of my career to date. I walked away with my second Naledi Theatre Award - Best Lead Male Performance in a Musical Theatre Production. Our show, Hlakanyana the Musical, was nominated for 14 awards and won 8. Including Best Ensemble and Best Musical Theatre Production.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to receive this award and recognition by the Naledi panel and the theatre community. As I mentioned in my speech, before Hlakanyana I was thinking of looking at a career shift or taking a hiatus from the industry. Thank god I didn't.
Thank you so much to @madevuentertainment(@zolanishangase and @michaelwilliamwalllace) and @ujartsculture, to our composers @dionne_song and @stop_and_sne, to the wonderful crew, to the best stage manager @amzlithgow, to the amazing band Dale Ray, @viwemkizwana and Xolani Magengenene, our choreographer who whipped us into shape with her bootcamps..@khayandlovu and of course our director @janice_honeyman

Also, of course, to the best cast one could ask for

So great to be able to celebrate Father’s Day with my husband and stepdaughter, when Father’s Day can be such a sad reminder that my father has been gone for 15 years. I still miss him so much. Sandi, you are such a warm, loving and playful father, just like Paul was. I love you so much. And clearly so does darling Lula ❤️ by @sandi_sizo

Pretty Woman: The Musical, South Africa. I will never forget this show, and most definitely will not forget this cast and all the small rituals that strenghtened our bond. This experience will stay with me forever. Thank you @showtime_sa for this opportunity, and taking such wonderful care of us.

To @moweryrusty and @wvdmusic, thank you for bringing your Broadway magic to us, and for leading us with patience and care.
To @brettwesleydegroot, @alexandracgirard and @dazzy_boi... Thank you for being the best company parents, and giving the tough love when needed😅 And of course to our maestro... @danielkeithgeddes.
A massive thank you to all the crew and all other departments! You are the backbone of this production.
