As Latinx/e Heritage Month and National School Lunch Week comes to a close, Leslie, from Sandi Coast Cafe, shares how celebrating her Mexican heritage is about family, food and traditions. Gathering with her family at the dinner table and enjoying food is a core memory growing up.

In her work, she reflects those food experiences in her work helping create the school menu. There are a few tasty Mexican dishes that are part of the school menu such as quesadillas, burritos, and Sandi Coast's award-winning Birria.

Head over to our YouTube channel to watch more Latinx/e Heritage Month clips from students and staff. And visit Sandi Coast Cafe to see how our district celebrated for National School Lunch Week. by @sandiegounified

Please join us in welcoming our wonderful Principal Interns from Clairemont High School!

Ms. Deborah, Ms. Melanie, and Ms. Vianey spend their mornings, Monday through Thursday, supporting our Stingrays in classrooms, in the front office, and throughout our campus.

These three amazing young leaders are already making a big impact at Bay Park! We are so grateful for their helping hands, positive energy, and dedication to our school community.

We love having them as part of our Stingray family! @sandiegounified taken in Bay Park Elementary by @sandiegounified
