A lil Cut, A lil Color
💫
I rarely do color since I've developed chemical sensitivities a few years ago, but when Michelle said she wanted some highlights I thought I'd give it a try again.
I knew I could just do a single process on her 'virgin' hair with no toning needed. Plus, I kind of had a "vision" and wanted to play 🎨
💫
I did end up getting a miserable migraine, so I think it'll be a while till I do color again
💫
Meantime, this was fun

Can I tell you a secret if you promise not to tell anyone?
Short, shaggy haircuts are my favorite to do.
I get in a zone, don't overthink it, trust my eye, my hands, my instincts, and let the wave patterns, head shape, and cowlicks guide me
And no damn blowout needed.
.
If you tell my long hairs I said this, I'll deny it 😁
.
*I had to slide husband in at the end ⚘️

My fringe by @jayne_edosalon a few years ago

Jayne gifted me a little zhuzh with her razor after we did a one on one class on my muse, Sara @ Hairstory Studios. 🖤

I know, AI bad, but i like this effect leave me alone, I'm procrastinating, I need to wash my hair.

The last 2 photos are Sara obvi 🖤

I'm turning 90 in a few days, I might be bugging out a little bit.

It's probably too late to wash my hair now. See? by @sandinthecity

Before the wind. Before the snow.

When I thought yellow walls was a good thing.

I finally left the house. Thank goodness. by @sandinthecity

Just go with the flow ✨️🌼

I'm back in the city doing haircuts, living life, being in the moment.
One day at a time

This razor cut was in Durham on the beautiful Cecily and her long, pretty hair 🌼
She gets cuts from me about 2x a year.
You can too!

Sara! 💛

One of my favorite people & favorite clients 🌼 truly

We've done so many looks and styles over the past several years - including the time I asked Sara to be my model for my one-on-one class @hairstorystudio with @jayne_edosalon a couple of years ago.
Lucky me !

One of these days I'm going to put together a series showing all the different looks for all my muses & all their different styles

One day 😁

The only hair product I used for Sara was just a little bit of Hair Balm from Hairstory which i applied before her haircut - a cutting and styling lotion in one 💥💫

Peace & Love, kids

I'll see my Durham loves soon @uniondurham !!

World Cup has been fun, though, right? 😊⚡️🔥

Whether it's the before or after - Emma is just beautiful 🧡

My photography skills have been in the dumps, lately. Not sure why other than feeling meh.
I'll snap out of it soon enough

Luckily my clients are so awesome that they shine through none the less

Emma's last cut was with me, a year ago ✂️

She wears her hair kinda natural, kinda straight - so I wanted to blow her hair out to make sure it's on point - otherwise I would have styled it curly which is gorgeous, as well

Lights, camera, razors, bangs & layers

Okay bye 👋🏽
