We have just launched our new instagram page to share our Wilding & Nature recovery journey at Sandon & we would love you to follow along with us @sandonwilding
In 2016, we began our journey to put nature at the forefront of how the estate operates. A decade later, the vision is starting to bring fruit. Lord Sandon was adamant that farming and a healthy landscape go hand in hand. Farming depends on nature, not the other way around and there is room for both nature and beautiful wildlife. After much planning, in 2020 we took back in hand a farm to be managed according to the principles of wilding. We have since developed many estate wide schemes, including a riperian restoration project, a large woodland creation project & novel approaches to woodland management. All our woods are now operating as natural regen and we have also completed our trials using native livestock to graze two of the woodlands with amazing results. There is more in the pipeline TBA as things develop, so please give us a follow on the new insta page for updates as the story evolves...
