When I teach/dance, my mind is so focused on my class, so present in the moment, that it’s literally the only time my brain “pauses”. As soon as the class is over, it kicks back in with life. 2024/5 has been the ultimate test for me personally, as a woman and as a Mum. I won’t lie or play it down, but it’s been ROUGH and although you see me smiling, laughing and mostly silly humour - what I have learned is that it’s okay to be vulnerable.
I’m the poster child for hyper independence but trying to constantly “fix shit” by yourself so as not to feel like a burden - also means you run the risk of missing out on genuine connection.
One thing I know is that we need people, we need each other… As much as you think you can do it by yourself, you won’t get a medal from Trauma Olympic Committee for doing so.
It’s easy to fake a “perfect life” on Instagram, but the reality is NO ONE HAS ALL THEIR SHIT TOGETHER! And tbh?
I don’t think that’s the point of being alive. I think we are supposed to learn, evolve, outgrow.
You can also be thankful for your life but still feel lost, hurt, heartbroken and overwhelmed sometimes.
Both can exist at the same time.
Just because you have reasons to be grateful, doesn’t mean you can’t be human. Life happens, dance helps and people help you up when you need it.
Stay real out there peeps because as much as your class makes people feel better, being authentic helps ALOT.

Neon. Print. Movement. Joy. Zumba closed the BIG Fashion Show at London Fashion Week 2026 last Friday and the whole room felt it.

Fourteen looks across two collections, Channel 80 and Basic Essentials, each one bursting with eighties energy, fearless colour and the kind of confidence that only comes when fashion is truly designed for everybody.
