I am reading a book called “The Correspondent” by Virginia Evans. It is about a Woman who writes letters. I am afraid this is a dying art. I liked the response to a young person asking the letter writer how she does it. This was her response: “I believe one ought to be precious with communication. Remember: words, especially those written, are immortal. Sometimes, Caroline, the easiest inroad is to begin with a thank you, for a gift or a kindness or a letter, you know, and then take it from there. Answer every question they’ve asked, and ask your own, and you will have created a never-ending circuit of curiosity and learning.” The book is inspiring me to be more intentional about my communications. She spent two hours weekly two to three times a week writing and responding to letters. She wrote drafts. by @sandrapeppin

Today I heard a line in church I will not forget “we cannot unbelong to Jesus and God the Father”. Jesus has paid the price already for us and that cannot be undone. This sent my mind whirling with the idea of God’s love for each one of us. His love is transformative not transactional. by @sandrapeppin

Day 6- Here are some places I visited in America Niagara Falls and a carousel. My 89 year old mother wanted to ride. It was like role reversal all her kids were watching her ride the carousel. Making sure she got on and off safely.🥰 by @sandrapeppin

Day 4- Thinking back of our trip to Susquehanna, PA. A beautiful, landscape of trees with the Susquehanna River nearby. A quiet place of reflection for me. Joseph and Emma Smith lived near this river when he was translating the Book of Mormon. He wondered on baptism as he read. He inquired of the Lord. The priesthood was restored through his questioning to the earth. Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery were baptized here among others. I felt the sacredness of this place. Later we visited the Whitmer Farm where the organization of Christ’s Church was restored. It was if time stood still because of the preservations done to the home. We also enjoyed some relaxation and good food at the Cracker Barrel in Binghamton NY. by @sandrapeppin
