As little Chicagoland foodies, S and R care a lot about taste, freshness, and texture. We love @popsbeef because it is so family-friendly, with tasty food and plenty of choices for everyone! Their signature Beef & Sausage sandwich is my personal favorite. The thin-sliced beef is tender and easy to chew, while the fresh-off-the-grill sausage has the most incredible aroma. Add the fresh peppers and crisp celery, and every bite is packed with flavor and texture. This time, S and R ordered hot dogs and were especially impressed by the big, crisp, clean-tasting, and not overly salty pickles. They ate them up before enjoying the rest of the hot dog with fresh toppings! We also love the refreshing salads, super crispy fries, and the huge variety of shakes and malts (more than 10 flavors!). Honestly, there are so many great options on the menu that please everyone. Summer is all about outdoor adventures and road trips. Dining at @popsbeef is one of the best parts of our summer weekends! Cleo’s Southern Cuisine @cleos_southerncuisine Golden in color, golden in flavor! Chef Kristen Harper puts incredible flavor, warmth, and creativity into the recipes. Every dish at Cleo’s feels thoughtfully crafted and unforgettable. Even with your eyes closed, you would recognize Cleo’s dishes by their unique taste! Even though their takeout boxes are well-designed to help keep everything crisp, I’d still recommend dining in. After just one free trial in early January, S and R were all in ⚽️💙 They’ve been asking when the new session would start and when they could finally get their @lilkickers_lksoccer uniforms…and now here they are, running, giggling, and having the best time on the indoor soccer fields! I especially love that S gets to be part of the ALL GIRLS class at Skills Institute. It’s designed for girls ages 5–8 to build confidence, learn skills, and make friends through short soccer games! From my observations, in this 50 minutes, this class offers so much: teamwork, learning to adapt in fast-changing moments, building strength and resilience, and pure soccer fun! We stopped by @marianosmarket Bucktown for the launch of @chicagochefscook Who’s Coming to Dinner?, a new cookbook featuring 50+ recipes and stories from amazing chefs and tastemakers across Chicagoland and Wisconsin. Of course, we had to grab a copy! and I was so excited to have Jaymes Berry, Chef/Owner of Berry Good Events (@chefberrygoodevents ), and Nikolaos Kapernaros, Executive Chef of Levy Restaurants (@levy.restaurants ), sign the pages featuring the family recipes they each contributed. If you love discovering places that take familiar comfort food and give it a little twist, you need to put @krasa.craftrestaurant on your Chicago list. 🇺🇸🇺🇦 This is where American craft food meets Ukrainian roots! You can taste the creativity in every bite. 😃The Flame Burger with bacon, crispy jalapeño, and spicy mayo, and that combination really works. 🔥 The burger was big, juicy, packed with flavor. I loved that every burger here has its own unique flavor idea behind it. 😃The Chicago Shawarma The meat was generous, the lavash had that delicious crispy edge, and their Ukrainian mayo-based garlic sauce made it completely different from the usual shawarma. Creamy, garlicky, so good! 😃Truffle Parmesan Fries Served with ketchup and garlic sauce. Two dips, two different personalities. 😃Homemade nalyvka, Ukrainian craft infusions, in cherry and raspberry. Such a fun and unique touch! They also have plenty of soft drink options if you’re skipping the nalyvka. ⭐️And can we talk about the space?
