Two best friends. One big idea. And a mission to reimagine holistic wellness for the next generation.

This week on Defining Next, I’m sitting down with Alex and Jacqueline, the co-founders of Body of Work Vitamins create the first clean vitamin brand designed just for young women.

We dive into the heart of their journey: how a catch-up over drinks spiraled into a brand that’s shaking up the supplement industry within the younger generation, what it’s really like to go from friends to co-founders, and why building with intention (and science!) matters more than ever.

If you’ve ever dreamed of starting something of your own, or just need a reminder that bold ideas + a lot of heart can create real change, this episode is for you.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for 💛

Butter Be Kind is entering its next chapter, and it’s one where science and soul meet in every single drop.

We’ve rebranded. But this isn’t just a new look. It’s a deeper reflection of everything this brand stands for: founder-formulated skincare created through the lens of biotech precision, rooted in kindness, and designed to support your skin and your nervous system.

It’s a return to self. A celebration of kindness to your skin, your soul, your story.

Same biotech-backed formulations you know and trust, now wrapped in a feel-good visual world that reflects the heart behind every product. This isn’t just a skincare brand. It’s a sensory experience. A ritual. A moment of calm in the chaos.

Crafted by @thetejaway, a biotechnologist, chemist, and sensitive-skin girly at heart, every formula is backed by science, built with intention, and a love for skincare that actually works and actually feels good.

Welcome to the new Butter Be Kind.
Science-backed. Emotionally attuned. Unapologetically kind. ✨

There was a point last year between the juggling of client projects, and founder chats that were making my mind run creatively wild. I was being FIRED UP by these unfiltered conversations.

The wins.
The doubts.
The breakthroughs.

All I wished for was that these conversations were shared.

While still having a way to empower founders to step into who they are authentically while ensuring they are seen and celebrated for their hard work and dedication.

What I craved was a space where founders could feel seen. Where we could talk about what it actually takes to show up, connect with your people, and define what’s next in business and life.

That’s when The Defining Next Podcast was born. @definingnextpodcast

Ten episodes in, and every conversation still catches me by surprise. These founders are bold, creative, empowered, and so real about what it takes to grow something that matters. I have this playlist that feels like it opens a door to new possibilities every time I listen.

If you want something that’s not polished, just honest that sparks ideas and inspires you to lean into your own next phase, the first 10 is waiting for your binge.

And soon, I get to step into the guest seat and share a bit of my own story. Can’t wait to let you in 😉

“I wanted a product that believed in the strength women already have.”

When Laura went searching for dumbbells during lockdown, she found two options:
✨ Too light to challenge you.
🚫 Clunky & built for someone else’s idea of strength.

The subliminal message? We don’t believe women are strong enough.

Laura decided to change that.

Fast forward to today, she’s the founder of @liftingthemood , a brand creating sleek, adjustable dumbbells designed for the strength women already have. Her mission? To make LTM the standard for women’s strength training, where function meets beauty, and confidence is the heaviest weight you’ll ever carry.

🎧 On this week’s episode of Defining Next, Laura and I talk about:
🤍 Turning a gap in the market into a movement
🤍 Building a product that’s both beautiful and functional
🤍 Why the design process matters for purpose-led brands
🤍 The reality of bootstrapping and selling fast without big funding

When you’re building a brand, you’re building with meaning and intent. A brand that lives *with* your people.

Before you enter your next chapter or roll out a rebrand, take a moment to ask these four questions:

1. Where do people come in contact with your brand?
2. What beliefs are you inviting them to align with?
3. What every day moments does your brand naturally fit into?
4. If someone brought up your brand at a dinner party, what would they say?

Then begin to build your brand story around inviting people in. *This* is how you integrate lifestyle into your brand. These are the questions that begin to shift how we integrate the design and create your brand world.

I’m here to marry what your audience sees and feels with what you want them to experience. I’ve found the most successful brands are where your brand reflects both your people and your heart as the founder. 🩵# taken in San Diego, California by @sandstudiodesigns

What started with a $22 CVS run turned into a full-blown beauty brand disrupting the mascara industry from the inside out.

In this episode of Defining Next, I’m joined by Paige DeAngelo, founder of @aercosmetics, who created the world’s first dissolving mascara tablet (yes, really).

In this clip, the founder Paige DeAngelo talks about the waste behind mascara products and how she sought out to find a solution. We talk about the impact of her product, her journey to getting to wear she is today, and building a brand from ground up.

This one’s for the founders who are building slow, intentionally, and know deep down they’re here to change the game.

A peek into a carousel moodboard of a brand I’ve been working on behind the scenes that blends science with soul, play, and purpose. A skincare line that glows and gives you the results you’ve been looking for.

Imagine skincare that feels like warm sunlight and your favorite playlist. Like you’re having a picnic with friends at sunset. Formulas created for the sensitive-skin girlies who still want the aesthetic.

And yes. The butter yellow? It’s intentional & strategically placed but not trendy. 🧈

I can’t wait to show you more but for now, I’ll leave you with this imagery. Can’t wait to share more soon. She’s almost ready… @butterbekind 🩵

This isn’t just about clothes for tall women, it’s about lifting up a community of women who are rarely truly seen in the fashion world. 👖

In this week’s episode of Defining Next, I sat down with Camryn Larson, founder of @larsonthebrand — the tall-girl brand rewriting the fashion rules for tall girls one inseam at a time.

What started as a college project has become a movement for women who’ve spent their whole lives shopping for timeless, capsule clothing that never quite fit — physically or emotionally. Camryn isn’t just designing longer pants. She’s building a space where tall women feel stylish, confident, and like they belong.

We talk about everything from slow launches and fit tweaks to DM convos that shape the next drop. And trust me, it’s the kind of founder story that reminds you how personal building a brand can be — and why community matters more than ever.

If you’re tall, know someone tall, or just love a brand with real vision, this one’s for you. I think you’ll feel inspired no matter what.
