One thing I’ve learned after watching so many photoshoots at Rancho Belmontez… the best photos usually happen AFTER she stops being nervous.

That’s why the experience starts before you ever step in front of the camera.

When you arrive, you can get ready in our little casita while our team gets your horse ready. Before the shoot, we introduce you, let you get comfortable, and walk you through everything so you know exactly what to expect.

Then we take you around the ranch with your photographer while our team handles the horse, so your photographer can focus on capturing you.

Because comfort comes before confidence.

So if you’ve never been around a horse before, its actually pretty normal around here. šŸ¤

Nobody talks about what it’s really like to build five family businesses at the same time.

One day we’re managing commercial construction projects.
The next we’re pouring concrete before the Arizona sun comes up.
We’re caring for horses, improving ranch facilities, planning events, working on breeding programs, and building a tequila brand from the ground up.

It’s early mornings, late nights, family meetings, hard conversations, big risks, and an endless amount of faith.

But it’s also watching a dream that started long before us continue to grow through the next generation.

Belmontez Construction.
Belmontez Concrete.
Rancho Belmontez.
Belmontez Equestrian Estates.
Belmontez Tequila.

Five businesses.
One family.
One legacy.

This page is where I’ll share the real side of building it all, the wins, the setbacks, the lessons, and everything in between.

Welcome to the journey. šŸ¤Ž

Progress doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen every single day.

This is what a full day looks like running active job sites five stops, drone up at every single one, documenting exactly where each project stands.

We do this for our clients and for ourselves. Because at Belmontez Construction, accountability is still the foundation of everything we do and it has been for 25 years.
This is how we operate.

I spend so much time thinking about how far I still have to go that I forget to look at my life through her eyes.

The little girl in this picture wouldn’t ask me how much revenue we brought in, how many followers we gained, or how many things I crossed off my list today. She would want to know if we’re happy. If we still dream big. If we get to help Mom and Dad. If we’re doing something that matters.

And I think she would smile knowing we get to build alongside our family.

Today, I get to help grow businesses my parents worked so hard to build. I get to tell our story, bring people together, and put my own ideas into something that means so much to us. There are days I feel capable and days I wonder if I’m qualified for everything being asked of me. I’m learning how to lead, how to speak up, and how to carry responsibility without losing myself in it.

Sometimes I get so caught up in becoming a better businesswoman that I forget to be gentle with the woman learning along the way.

But God sees her, too.

He sees me praying before a hard conversation. He sees the questions I carry home after a long day. He knows how deeply I want to honor my parents’ sacrifices while discovering what He has called me to contribute.

I’m learning to ask Him who I’m becoming as I build all of this. Am I patient with people? Am I honest when it’s difficult? Do the people closest to me get the same care I put into my work? Am I making room to hear Him?

Little me, we’re still figuring a lot out. Some things look different than you imagined. We’ve cried over things you wouldn’t understand yet. But we still laugh. We still love deeply. We still get excited about an idea and want to tell everyone about it.

And the God you’re learning to trust is still taking care of us.

When I say, ā€œI think about you often,ā€ I mean I’m trying to remember what made you feel alive before I started measuring everything.

And when you say, ā€œI think about you every day,ā€ I remember that once, simply getting to become this woman was a dream.

God, help me recognize the prayers You’ve already answered while I’m working toward what comes next.

Seven days a week, five family businesses, and a lot of work behind the scenes.

We share as much of the process as we can, but there are countless calls, meetings, decisions, and long hours that never make it on camera. The work continues long after the recording stops.

Today felt like that work was coming together across Belmontez Construction, Belmontez Concrete, Rancho Belmontez, Belmontez Equestrian Estates, and our upcoming Belmontez Tequila.

We selected a launch party date and secured the location for our tequila celebration, held our boarders’ meeting at Belmontez Equestrian Estates, and continued moving projects and plans forward across the companies.

Each business has its own priorities, but they all require the same commitment: show up, follow through, and keep building.

There’s a lot ahead for our family businesses, and we’re excited to continue sharing the work, the progress, and the milestones with you.

Surround yourself with people who inspire you to keep growing. People whose work ethic challenges you, whose knowledge teaches you, and whose encouragement gives you the confidence to try something new.

Stay curious. Ask questions. Learn new skills. Be willing to be a beginner, even when you’ve already accomplished a lot.

There is always more to learn and someone you can learn from. Be intentional about the company you keep, and bring that same encouragement to others.

My parents took risks to build it. Now it’s our turn to take risks to grow it.

If you knew you were 50 failures away from growing the family business, how quickly would you start?

Here are 5 things to remember when you’re scared to fail in the family business:

1. Start small. Test the idea with one event, one service, or a small budget before going all in.
2. Come with a plan. Explain what you want to try, what it will cost, and how you’ll know if it’s working.
3. Respect their experience. Ask what they’ve tried before and what they learned. There’s history behind their hesitation.
4. Own the outcome. If it doesn’t work, be honest about it. Review what happened and what you’ll change next time.
5. Let results build trust. Keep your promises, follow through, and give your family a reason to feel confident in your next idea.

I want to honor what my parents built by having the courage and the responsibility to keep building. šŸ¤Ž

There’s always something happening at Rancho Belmontez and behind every busy day is an opportunity to grow, build relationships, and create memorable experiences. šŸ¤Ž

Our newest additions, a mini horse and some Highland cows, had their first official photo shoot with Quinceañera Magazine today, and they did so well! We can’t wait to officially introduce them and share more of what we’re building here. šŸ“šŸ“ø

Collaborations like these bring together local businesses, creativity, and community. Thank you, Quinceañera Magazine, for coming out and bringing your vision to the ranch. You all looked beautiful, as always! ✨

Came for the bull riding, left with business notes. šŸ˜‚šŸ¤

One detail that made me laugh: Kubota’s sponsorship was on display, while CAT equipment was cleaning up the arena between rides. My family-business brain immediately noticed. šŸ‘€

It got me thinking about how events earn sponsors, what makes a brand want to invest, and how that partnership shows up throughout the experience.

For me, the takeaway was alignment, trust, and value. A logo gets seen, but the details give people something to remember.

As our family businesses grow, I want us to build partnerships that feel intentional—from the promotion to what guests experience when they arrive. Opportunities that serve our community and give the brands working with us a reason to keep growing alongside us.

All those little details matter. It’s about the whole experience. šŸ¤Ž

I run five businesses with my family. Construction, concrete, a ranch for photoshoots and events, an equestrian center in Waddell, and a tequila brand. We love each other. We still learned most of these the hard way.

1. Put roles in writing. Loving each other doesn’t tell anyone who owns what.
2. Decide who makes the final call. Not every decision needs a family vote.
3. Keep business money separate from family money. Blurry money creates blurry relationships.
4. Give work talk an off switch. The dinner table can’t always be a board meeting.
5. Plan the exit before you need it. It’s the hardest conversation and the most important one.

None of these mean you don’t trust each other. They’re how you protect the relationship so the business never costs you the family. God gave us each other first. The business came second.
Send this to the one you’re building with. Which rule would be hardest for your family? šŸ‘‡

Running five businesses with my family, October is when we stop guessing. Before the year closes, every business gets the same three questions:

1ļøāƒ£ What grew because we took care of it? Keep feeding that.
2ļøāƒ£ What grew without us noticing? That’s usually your next opportunity. A repeat client, a referral, a person who kept showing up.
3ļøāƒ£ What are we still watering out of habit? This one’s the hardest, especially with family. Not every seed deserves another season.

This horse didn’t learn to stand calm through braids, roses, and a full photoshoot overnight. That calm took hundreds of quiet days nobody filmed.

Business works the same way. What you harvest in Q4 was decided back in February.

We’re grateful for every season God trusts us with, the full harvests and the lean ones. šŸ™šŸ½

Which of the three questions is hardest for you to answer right now? Tell me below, and save this for your Q4 planning. šŸ‘‡šŸ½
