It’s going to be packed.

The midway is back at the Woodstock Fair — but that’s only one piece of what’s happening at the Fairgrounds this weekend.

Tractor Pull. Demo Derby. Cow shows. Llamas. Goats. Pigs. Bunnies. Baking, flowers, artwork and exhibits. And this year, Ribfest is part of the weekend too.

The midway gets a lot of attention — and rightfully so — but the agricultural side of the Woodstock Fair is a tradition that goes back generations. It’s also a chance for kids growing up in a much different Woodstock to get a little closer to agriculture and where our food actually comes from.

The 189th Woodstock Fair is happening NOW — August 21–23 at the Woodstock Fairgrounds.

General admission is FREE.

Special Episode Just Dropped!

The Woodstock Fair is almost here, and this year they’re packing A LOT into three days.

The midway is back. Ribfest is joining the fair. Live bands. Beer garden. Chainsaw carving. Kids activities. Agricultural shows. Demo Derby. Tractor Pull. And apparently enough food vendors to make me immediately regret recording this episode at lunchtime.

I sat down with Sandra Brown from the Woodstock Agricultural Society for a special episode of This is Woodstock to talk about what’s happening at the **189th Woodstock Fair**, and the work happening behind the scenes to keep one of our city’s longest-running traditions going.

**August 21–23 at the Woodstock Fairgrounds.**

General admission is FREE, and there’s plenty happening even if rides aren’t your thing.

We also talk about something the fair needs right now: **volunteers.** If you’ve got a high school student looking for volunteer hours, or you’ve got a few hours yourself and want to help out, this is a pretty fun way to do it.

The 189th Woodstock Fair is almost here, and it takes an incredible team of volunteers to bring one of Woodstock's longest-running traditions to life.

When you can't find what you need for your Halloween costume, you get crafty! Love the challenge of making a costume as close to the character you're portraying. Check back tomorrow for the final reveal! If you guess what i will be, please DON'T spoil it!! by @sandyrahb

Trying to rest but then I start to think about how grateful I am for such a great night. I'm exhausted but it was so much fun getting together last night @ the CASS 60th Celebration!
