It’s not fall yet, but as I was out, putting birdseed in my feeders and feeding the squirrels, they’re raw peanuts, the dogs were playing. There’s a cool breeze in the warmth outside. There’s a promise in the air. This is one of my favorite times of the year to feel that cool breeze after long, hot summers. by @sandys1229

Modesty has been on my mind for a long time now. When we mention the word, hackles rise. I know because I was attracted by ‘feminism’ in the 60s. Gloria Steinham was a hero. ‘I am woman hear me roar’ was my theme song. Don’t tell me what I can and can’t do, see or wear. I’m independent, I am strong, I am a woman!

It wasn’t until @1976 that I realized who I really was. I’m not what I wear or don’t wear, I’m not what I do or don’t do, I am a new creation. I am adopted as God’s child. The Holy Spirit of God loves me. I am chosen by God, Holy and dearly loved by Him.

I chose to follow Christ. I chose to honor Him in my speech, my life, my dress, my thoughts. Modesty in dress reveals a modesty and godliness of the heart, attitudes that should be the desire of all women (and men) who live to please and honor God. by @sandys1229

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the families forever changed on September 11, 2001.

Lord, we ask You to bless and comfort those who still carry the weight of that day. May we never forget the unity, courage, and compassion that rose from the ashes.

Grant us peace in our world, strength in our communities, and love in our hearts. May we always honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice by living with faith, hope, and kindness.
