Florí Project aims to investigate and understand how the design of hospital environments can improve the emotional and psychological well-being of hospitalized children aged 11 to 13. This research is conducted in collaboration with Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, which currently lacks a design specifically tailored to this age group, often overlooked in favor of spaces designed for younger children.

The project focuses on identifying the needs and preferences of pre-adolescent pediatric patients, who are at a crucial stage of emotional and social development. By creating spaces that integrate natural elements and provide a more welcoming and therapeutic atmosphere, the goal is to promote a more positive and less stressful hospital experience for these children.

The expected outcomes of this study aim to provide valuable recommendations for designing more inclusive and supportive hospital spaces. By incorporating nature and other elements that enhance psychological well-being, Florí seeks to demonstrate that user-centered design can transform hospital environments, making them more humane and appropriate for all ages. Ultimately, Florí aspires to influence future hospital design practices, improving the quality of life and recovery process of pediatric patients. by @sanina.studio
