It’s that time! ⏰ The San Joaquin Region is hosting a Blanket 🧺 Drive, and we want your chapter to be part of it! This is a fun way to bring some friendly competition between chapters while giving back to our communities and helping those in need. Chapters will collect blankets until November 30th, with all totals due to their Sectional Officer Team by 5 PM that day. Each team will then donate their collected blankets to shelters in their area. We can’t wait to see you and your community give a helping hand to those in need! Winners and awards 🏆 will be announced once all totals are in! Prizes will be given to both the chapter and section with the most blankets donated! #sanjoaquinregion #sjr #ignite by @sanjoaquinffa

On August 22nd, SJR held our Sectional Officer Leadership Conference in Bakersfield! 🌟 Throughout the conference, we connected with all six of our sections through a variety of engaging workshops 💼 and activities. Not only did the Sectional Officers participate in activities led by our Regional Officers, but they also had the opportunity to take part in workshops led by our State ✏️ Officers! This conference was such a blast 💥 , and we had an amazing time meeting new faces, building connections, and creating unforgettable memories throughout the day! A huge thank you 🫶 to all of the advisors, staff, and State Officers who helped make this event possible. Another special thank you to the facilitators at the Kern Agriculture Pavilion for allowing us to use their facility and providing us with a great space for this conference! #sanjoaquinregion #sjr #ignite by @sanjoaquinffa

Last, but definitely not least, 🌟 for Day 11 of our officer introductions, we have our national traveler ✈️, the biggest video game lover, and the gyms most loyal member… NATHAN MOCTEZUMA, your 2026-2027 San Joaquin Regional President ☀️ from the Bakersfield Foothill chapter! What’s up everyone! My name is Nathan Moctezuma , and I am thrilled to serve and meet you all in this upcoming year! I have been involved in FFA since my freshman year, when my brother Brandon encouraged me to get involved! With his support, as well as the support of others, I was able to participate in activities such as Creed, B.I.G., Opening and Closing, and so much more, all in my first year of FFA! Ever since then, FFA has sparked my interest and pushed me to compete in competitions such as Parli Pro, Impromptu, Extemporaneous, and Ag Sales, all of which have shaped me into the member I am today! Today, I have the honor of serving as my chapter’s president alongside my hardworking teammates! My favorite FFA memory would have to be one of the nights during ROLC going into my junior year. On this particular night, we all decided to sit around a campfire and sing along to a few songs. It was such a beautiful moment where I truly felt like I was part of such a caring family! My goal this year is to make sure everyone knows that they matter and that their story is worth telling! I strive to make everyone feel welcomed and appreciated at every opportunity. I want to help create a space where everyone feels comfortable being themselves and knows they have a place. Lastly, since it’s my senior year, I want to make as many meaningful friendships and memories that will last a lifetime as possible! Outside of FFA, you can catch me in a variety of different places! In my free time, I enjoy playing golf, soccer, and volleyball with my friends because I love a little competition! I also enjoy traveling anywhere and everywhere, going to concerts, and listening to all kinds of music! A fun fact about me is that I want to go to college in a different country, such as Italy! 🇮🇹 Thank you for getting to know me! Bringing us to🌟 Day 10 of our officer introductions, we have dutch’s #1 customer, the biggest dairy 🥛 fan, and our side quest connoisseur… KAITLYN SANCHEZ, your 2026-2027 San Joaquin Regional East Fresno Madera Vice President 🚜 from the Kingsburg Chapter! Hiii SJR!! My name is Kaitlyn Sanchez, and I and so so excited for this year and getting to serve the region! ✨ This year, I’m going into my fourth and final year of FFA, which is sad, but it has been such a journey! I first started this journey in FFA because I wanted to show a market hog for my local fair 🐖, and soon after I fell in love with what the organization had to offer. Since then, I have been part of a few competitions including, BIG, Impromptu, Water, Banking 🏦, Extempt, and my personal favorite Grapevine Pruning 🍇! Outside of competitions, I have a few SAE projects, including a market hog, a greenhouse cooperative 🌱, and Viking Floral! One of my favorite FFA memories I have, is from this past year at State Conference! Before the last session began, nerves were high because of our SJR candidates and I remember doing a group prayer with the regional team, past officers, and delegates. This memory has stuck with me because I truly felt bonded with those around me and was (and still am) so grateful to be surrounded by a community that constantly strives to uplift others! ☺️🥲 This year during my year of service, my goal is be YOUR biggest cheerleader! 📣 I hope that with the connections we build, I can be there to support you whenever you need it, no matter if you need a shoulder to lean on, or someone to do a happy jump with you! 🤗 Outside of FFA, you’ll probably catch me on some sort of side quest (my fav thing to do), whether that be camping 🏕️ with my family, or heading out to pickleball! I also love a good coffee ☕️ run, so you might also find me in the Dutch Bros drive thru! A  fun facts about me are that I have a deep love for the movie Tangled 👑, I love to do my own nails, and I’ve been told I make a great brownie recipe 🍫!!” Thank you all so much for tagging along with me in this intro!
