My first hike with an elevation gain of about 800–900 meters, from Chamonix to Montenvers. It was also my first time wearing my new hiking boots. It was tough — I burned around 1000 kcal that day (at least that’s what my Apple Watch told me), while active days in the city are usually about 500 kcal. At first, I wanted to call someone to pick me up with a pass at the train station, but then I decided, why not walk all the way back. Looks like I chose my hiking boots well — my legs didn’t hurt at all that day. 27.09 taken in Chamonix, France by @sanka2002sh

After stepping onto the route again without proper gear, I decided enough was enough. It was time to finally buy some hiking/mountaineering equipment. So I started with trekking shoes with climbing zone and trekking poles. There are no other ways to survive in the research group I’m working with (look at previous posts). 25.09-26.09 taken in Plan de l'Aiguille - 2317m by @sanka2002sh

(21.09.2025) В продолжение к предыдущему посту, это та самая смотровая площадка, до которой шли вне маршрута. Встретили там козла и мармота. А, и меня спросили, не прилетела ли я на вертолете, видите ли одета не для гор. taken in Flegere, Chamonix by @sanka2002sh

Второй год подряд иду на маршруты с неправильными людьми. В прошлом году ходила по заснеженной тропе с палкой и без кошек/микроспаек, в этот раз сошли с нормальной туристической тропы и пытались подняться до смотровой площадки. Это конечно интересный опыт, но не рекомендую by @sanka2002sh
