Maturing in the gym is realizing I really will keep doing the same exercises over and over if they’re working.

I’m not saying the gym fixes everything… but it has definitely gotten me through a LOT😭

Sometimes you just need somewhere to put all that energy, clear your head, and remind yourself you can still show up for you. No matter what’s going on, I’ve never regretted showing up for myself.

Sometimes that looks like prayer, sometimes it looks like therapy, and sometimes it looks like picking up some heavy stuff and working it out💪🏾🫶🏾

Ngl There’s a different kind of strength in not needing to force an outcome.

Sometimes you truly gotta let things be what they are, let yourself feel whatever comes with it, and find somewhere healthy to put that energy. For me, that’s been getting in the gym, clearing my mind, and continuing to show up for myself.

I used to think being strong meant not letting things affect me. I’m learning that maybe strength is being honest enough with yourself to feel it all, and resilient enough to keep moving anyway🫶🏾

Not everything needs to be understood to become something you grow from💪🏾🫶🏾
