Voor een artikel van de nieuwe Soelaas mocht ik het verhaal van Matthias in beeld brengen. Na een roerige periode, waarin hij kampte met verslaving en dakloosheid, bouwde hij in Nederland stap voor stap aan een nieuw leven. Met begeleiding, doorzettingsvermogen en zijn passie voor muziek vond hij weer structuur, rust en vertrouwen in zichzelf. Het verhaal van Matthias laat zien hoe groot de impact kan zijn van de juiste steun op het juiste moment. Bijzonder om dit met mijn foto’s te mogen ondersteunen.

Some work from last year: For @anbo_pcob Ouderenwijzer Magazine I photographed Annemarie Moll-Jongerius at LUMC.

Annemarie is a physician and researcher in geriatric medicine. She completed her PhD on appropriate care for older adults, focusing on the professional identity of medical students and doctors and how they relate to older patients.

I’ve fallen a bit behind on posting my editorial work here on Instagram, but I’ll be sharing more over the next few weeks. 🙏🏽 by @sanneromeijn

Since last year, I’ve been photographing our life again, a life far from the city we once lived in. We moved from Rotterdam to a more rural place. We wake up to birds instead of noise. I have more space for my thoughts and feelings, not always easy, I must say. A lot of old memories have come back from a time when our life was a struggle.

This photo was taken last summer, close to our home. Everything is still in progress but didn’t want to keep this one from you. ✨ by @sanneromeijn
