Day 15 🧘☮️✌️

We were stoked to be joined by welsh rugby legend @alun.wyn.jones . The world’s most caped rugby player, 158 for Wales and 12 for the British and Irish lions. He came to join in on our yoga session. What a good egg. Check out his new rum label @mimosarwmespiritu . Out of the 4 of us he was definitely the most flexible. Thanks Alun 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏉

Huge thanks to Mel Webb @karma_beauty for giving her time and to putting us through a very calming yoga session and finishing with a bit of Reiki. DM her if you’re interested in joining in on her classes.

After 2 weeks of training it’s exactly what Panch & Nige needed. We go again tomorrow bright and early. This time back to the grind 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 with @chris_ware_house

After yoga we went to visit Rico and Tess at @lovelivelighthealinghub and got absolutely spoilt rotten with the most amazing mushroom coffees, smoothies, shakes and food followed by some red light therapy saunas, meditation the works. WE could have stayed there all day mun.

When @panchatronic met @garethmutch and @mycoolwelch in the San Portablo store
after they had been on @problematicpubpod they of course went on to have
an obligatory beer in Afan Ales with @sandroford
and it went down the hatch so smooth
they moved on to the Queens Hotel
and the No Sign Wine Bar in Swansea
And they still getting it down the hatch
And it’s going down Lovelly
So they move on Down to The Comedy Club
And the Scottish boys get up on stage
And wind the crowd right up
And they still getting them down the Hatch
And they on the whisky
And it’s one of them nights
That we all gotta have from time to time
Kos it’s good to be alive
And living the Shunk Life Baby

San Portablo had a stall
at the Paint Worx Festival
in Central Park, Barry in August
The Paint Worx have worked with VoGCBC to build an exhibition of the Paint Worx
In the vacant Wilko building
In Barry’s Town Centre
What a champion way to use this space
This is fabulous regeneration
Which makes Barry Town centre
More interesting and dynamic
We would like to see other areas
Trying to replicate this creativity
In vacant Town Centres
Barry are blessed to have the driving force
That is the Hurt So Good Crew
They have brought artists from all around
And given them a stage to rage together
And to leave a legacy
San Portablo deffo want to be involved
For Paint Worx 2027
It gonna evolve into something special
Big Up Ceri and Kyle
And everyone we met
and who was involved
In this groove of Cool Wales

Very excited to announce that my debut feature documentary “Steel: The Blood of Us” will have its festival preview at the Sheffield Film Festival on 35mm film, before screening across the UK as part of Steel on Film Roadshow this Autumn.

Making this documentary has undoubtedly changed my life. I’ve worked on it for almost four years around the town of Port Talbot, South Wales, capturing the raw and emotional final years of traditional steelmaking in the town. I feel truly humbled to have been welcomed into the lives, homes and stories of people across the whole community.

The Steel on Film UK Roadshow Screenings brings Steel: The Blood of Us together with the rarely seen 1976 documentary The Face of Change, creating a programme that explores 50 years of Britain’s steel communities.

Sheffield Film Festival, Sheffield - Monday 14th September (35mm)
Reel Cinema, Port Talbot - Thursday 17th September
The Market Hall Cinema, Ebbw Vale - Friday the 18th September
Chapter, Cardiff - Saturday 19th September
Studio Cinema, Coleford - Sunday 20th September
Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry - Wednesday, 23rd September (35mm)
The Regent Cinema, Redcar - Sunday 27th September
Phoenix Cinema, Falmouth - Wednesday 14th October
The Genesis Cinema, London - Sunday 25th October (35mm)

I can’t wait to finally share this film with you, and to share more about what a life changing experience making it has been, both for myself and for the incredible composer Ben Doherty, who has crafted nothing short of magic for this project.
