This is just a short glimpse of an exciting and intense year continuing my work as design researcher, and my commitment as a professor and mentor,, supporting the future design professionals.

I am a research-based design strategist who forecasts the cultural, ecological, historical, and social forces shaping the contemporary design discipline.

Whether conducting research for the universities where I teach, for design firms or institutions, or curating design projects, exhibitions, installations, publications, I always pay rigorous attention to context, processes, and details, expanding creativity and innovation.

On Thursday, September 17th, at the new Fondovisto space in Valencia, I moderated a two-on-one meeting between emerging talents and established professionals.

We shared perspectives on new approaches to design, especially product design, and its emerging horizons.

➖Participants included Mudat Studio and Nieves Contreras, along with Yasmina Benabdelkrim and Berry Dijkstra. The event was moderated by Marisa Santamaría, researcher, journalist, and curator specializing in global design in the 21st century.➖
