Comincia da una conversazione.
Da come una persona vuole sentirsi. Dalla scelta del collo, dei polsini, dei bottoni, delle cifre, del tessuto.

Poi arrivano i dettagli che quasi non si vedono: il giromanica cucito a mano a punto “barchetta”, i bottoni in madreperla australiana fissati a giglio, le cuciture a dieci punti per centimetro.

La storia nasce nel 1969 con Angela Lemma e Giovanni Santillo. Oggi continua con i figli e con ricamatrici, modellisti e tagliatori che lavorano ancora con pochi strumenti e molte mani esperte.

C’è un’idea che mi piace molto: la camicia non come semplice indumento, ma come qualcosa capace di raccontare chi la indossa.

Forse è proprio questa l’eleganza più interessante: quella che non ha bisogno di farsi notare subito.

We were exploring denim back in 2016 🧵

When material research is driven by vision, it doesn’t follow trends it follows its own path.

Created in 2016, this piece is the result of hands-on experimentation with denim, lightened through a process developed in-house to achieve irregular colour contrasts, visual depth and unique tonal variations.

The raw-cut edges, intentionally left frayed, celebrate the fabric’s authentic character, while the sartorial construction creates a dialogue between classic tailoring and contemporary experimentation.

No standardised effects. No uniformity. Just material, technique and an uncompromising attention to detail.

Today, everyone is talking about denim. We were already studying, experimenting with and transforming it in 2016.

Research is not a trend. It’s a story that continues.
